  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    FB find of the day

There’s dealers here that have stuff like that, I just don’t think it does the color justice, it’s one thing to see it on block or panel, but it’s another to see how it looks wrapping the entire vehicle, especially if it can be different based on light and angle

    Make steering wheel sportier

I assume this is speed based, or maybe manufacturer? My car at least as slow as 8MPH will throw on the parking brake and shut down while in drive if I tap the button, I only know that because I did it absent minded, planning to be faster but I got a call and already had my finger over the the...

    Make steering wheel sportier

The vehicle will probably be a little smarter than you expect with safeguards and checks in place for safety. Personally, whenever I turn the wheel, I get a bit ham fisted and I’m very likely to press the button at slow speeds which would increase the likelihood of just shutting the vehicle off...

    FB find of the day

Here’s a question. Once scout has confirmed their colors that will be available at lunch. We will of course be able to see them on a digital model of the vehicles, but would you prefer to see them in person on scale model scouts maybe about the size of a power wheel? So you can see how real...

New Scott Keogh Video! 2025 Thank You

Exactly my thoughts if 20% of buyers have reservations for battery electric vehicles why would you not sell 20% of your interested market a vehicle and make that money?

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

I see one of these every few days and it elicits the same response from me every time

    Google Gemini AI Scout Images

I was always told it was a metallic seafoam. A few years ago I made a model of the truck for my dad since we had to let the real thing go, and the color match I found was a blue, I can’t recall the name exactly but I love this color

That first one could definitely sway my wallet I love that base color

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I hope scouts app won’t require a subscription.. I pay monthly for OnStar for various reasons from safety to WiFi, but I shouldn’t need a subscription to check my cars battery level, also when onstar bugs out I can’t check anything on my car. This is what a “premium” subscription get me, a buggy...

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

Chevrolet has Charge&Go but not compatible with any chargers near me. I would prefer the vehicle itself having a card built into it, you add money from a one time payment method in the vehicles app when ever you need to so once a year you put the amount you think will get the year with minimal...

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

I wish there was someway to implement a prepaid card in the vehicle itself that you can load as needed and it just pays from that during the handshake process to cut back on apps, and barely functioning screens

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

The practical side of my choice in a vehicle begins and ends at what I need, everything else is more emotional I would say. What I need is truck, capable and dependable, but after that, I won’t buy a vehicle with a vin that doesn’t start with a “1”, needs to be an American brand if I’m going to...

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

True. I think in my mind I picture the vehicles outdoors with either glass or open cabana top allowing light through and just a bit of light catching the silver strip on the rear seats making the vehicle look a little more premium to a passerby

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

I don’t hate this, but from a production standpoint it would probably be cheaper to use the black, though if a solid color rear seat is an option I would hope to see the silver bar (with or without the Scout script) to add a little personality to the back

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

Yeah, probably turn signals at the minimum, but for the vehicle size, having them act as marker lights could be useful in some situations. Considering if they make it to production

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

All three GM cars at my house have mirror-mounted turn signals, unless I'm misunderstanding you. (22 Bolt EUV, 15 Volt, 12 Lacrosse)

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

If you search Davis dam test on YouTube, you find a video of the lightning running the test, but there’s no voiceover just music and editing, or you can find a video from slate with no trailer
