  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Never heard of this site before but was a slightly interesting read https://www.torquenews.com/17998/chevy-equinox-ev-owner-says-he-eliminated-range-anxiety-18degf-just-multiply-mikwh-battery

How would you build your Scout?

The Terra in its silo green configuration is almost perfect, swap the interior from the pacific mist traveler in, paint it in #3DA1B0, I could take or leave the bull bar, but want the roof rack, toolbox, and maybe a tonneau cover to swap for road trips

    Launch Edition

I’d expect a launch/first edition to be very well equipped but come in just under $80k then with accessories (tool box, backpack, full size spare) or available options (cabana, glass, solid roof for example) topping out around $87k

    Vehicle Visualizer/Configurator Tool

I’ve gone to opposite side of shop therapy right now, I was taken out before Christmas too many different stores and told to pick something out within a pretty high price range. Everything I saw I picked up said “this would be cool“ then sat it down and walked away. I can’t even spend money...

    Vehicle Visualizer/Configurator Tool

For me the anticipation is the only thing keeping me motivated to save my money, I have a bad tendency to fall into “shop therapy”

    Launch Edition

I’d happily take a discount, I plan to make lots of videos of the adventures and up&downs of my scout

My friend worked at a ford dealer for less than a day because he couldn’t be, in his words, “that immoral”. He was told he would have to up charge everything especially used by $8-20k

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Factory delivery would be nice, not sure how that would work with a trade in exactly, but I have friend that lives 2 hours from the factory on my way home, and he wants to trail ride the scout and his 4Runner. That could be a fun adventure if it’s possible

My Bolt EUV weighs 3,680lbs our Volt 3,785lbs Chrysler 200 3,402lbs Buick Lacrosse weighs 3,837lbs The BEV isn’t even the heaviest car in my driveway, so when people say “EVs are heavier” they must think ICE cars weigh 2k max. And with Registrations being due BEV $285 PIHEV $150 ICE $50
  11. RodorW

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

The L1 my car came with from GM has a swappable plug to turned into an L2. It’s not a headwire, but it’s something I wasn’t expecting

    "Harvester" badge for non-Harvester models

Maybe something stamped or molded under the charge door but on the outside so only visible when charging, the harvester door is large enough to have nice design fill it out and not look messy, plus it’s unique. The charge door is just to small to accommodate a full external graphic in my mind
  13. RodorW

    "Harvester" badge for non-Harvester models

Make the lines more like the electric tractor logo to indicate the all electric version of the vehicles, but at the same time I don’t see any design being placed on the charge door for a cleaner look
  14. RodorW

    "Harvester" badge for non-Harvester models

The headliner in the the traveler is similar to the harvester design based on the agricultural and natural designs of fields
  15. RodorW

    "Harvester" badge for non-Harvester models

It's the fuel door for the harvester, but I believe the harvester plaid will be optional for no harvester interiors

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

In the bolt you have to set the cluster to “advanced” but It’s from an interior before the newer EVs

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

So on Christmas Eve I left home with 250 miles of range, with positive driving I could get 280, while negative was 220, roughly 30 miles either way from the predicted number, with roads like my trip was consistent with (a mix of positive and negative) the 250 was spot on, but if you’re doing the...

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

Thank you for the info! I hope scout goes this route. My Bolt just says “low” at 10%, I’ve only driven the bolt and probably about 20 different Rivian EDVs but the bolt is the only one that does that and it’s really annoying to lose that estimation
  19. RodorW

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

Does the lightning show an estimated range continuously or is there a point where it decides you don’t need that information and just tells you to charge soon?

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

My 2001 F-150 had the pillar handle on both sides and I never had an issue with it making the blind spot any worse, but in my bolt I almost ran someone over because they were walking perfectly in line with my blind spot, I wasn’t doing more than 5mph and I would have hit their cart before them...
