  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I would love to see them in person once they have a more production ready model to see how the console on the bench seat will be. So hopefully the pre production builds will get to tour around before orders go live, and hopefully come to middle Tennessee

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

I see atleast 1-3 cyber trucks a day, not single one has ever had the cover open doing truck things, but the occasional lightnings and rare R1Ts are often hauling or towing. I don’t think cyber truck owners care about having a truck, it’s either a symbol, or they got it for super cheap

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

If a it gets up to 83-85k with just options you can’t add (at least not easily) after the fact, I can see that as reasonable, things like ACC or power seats in a charger STX for example, but if you can swap the stock bumper for the bull bar latter or add the rock rails and roof rack a year two...

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

From my view when I was deciding for my goals a couple of weeks ago I was looking at the SilveradoEV and Terra. There’s obviously a lot more out there about the SilveradoEV since it’s a production vehicle, but as I was looking at anything I could find, I was under the impression it was 350...

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

Yeah, most people don’t even realize they charge from a normal 120 wall outlet. I’ve seen so may unhealthy cars from poor habits, like never changing the fluids or relying on the generator/engine for driving. The benefit of an EV is the lack of constant maintenance I only have to go in a tire...

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

Yeah, but many people aren’t willing to give the Electric side of things a chance, running those lines Rex bmws without a single charge or buying a volt and never once charging it. But that misses the biggest selling point of EV to me, which is the convenience of refueling at home and the...

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

A little random but today while I was driving around for work, I was thinking about this topic regarding the fuel tank and started thinking about how many people will treat the EREV the way they’ve treated plug-in hybrids where they will never plug them in and only fuel them with gasoline, which...

What trim levels would you like to see at launch?

I’m just hoping things won’t be trim locked, or tied in with other stuff (packages) like my car currently doesn’t even have the rear armrest/cupholder fold out in the seat. The car needed to be equipped with the convenience package, which also included the pockets on the back of the front seat...

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

Unfortunately, like with any company it’s very easy to assume the worst so it is very easy to assume the misleading words are intentional to help drive reservations. I would love to be wrong but it’s hard to see it in a more positive way.

Traveler vs. Terra - Targeted Technical Questions

The Terra also seems to have a space allocated under the bed for a spare, so that could be the things that takes up the extra space, the wheel base and body add

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

They’ve said mainly in interviews that the put batter range on harvester models will be 150, due to smaller batteries to accommodate the harvester systems. This is confusion is on scouts end, they don’t make it very clear on the website, but I assume that’s planned to change once the production...

The gas tank needs to be bigger on the Harvester models

Easy to do since I don’t think it explicitly said on any of the main pages of the website, maybe buried in an FAQ or said in an interview, but the main takeaways from the site is 350 BEV and 500 EREV so it’s an understandable confusion

Bigger Gas Tank - 15 Gallons is Abysmal

I might be wrong, but when I see most people talking about the tank size it often sounds like they assume once the battery is depleted it swaps to an engine to run the electric motors, instead of a regulated RPM VW Generator to start replenishing SoC.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Mine have to changed in a few months, but in a car with no spare and 100 + daily miles I have buy the “healing” tires. Otherwise my family owned tire shop could save me 90% on new tires, but they don’t have stock options for healing tires

Scout Traveler In Chicago December 10, 2025

The beanie is so comfortable. I wore it to the Chevy dealership since I had to wait for my tire rotation, when I left this morning I chose it thinking jokingly “to show scout dominance”. Funnily enough there was a sales guy handing out his card and talking to everyone waiting for service, asking...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Last I saw just ambiguous on the cabana for the Terra, but for either I imagine the controls would be in the middle like a sunroof controls, I wanna say the rear window switch is in the middle in my dads 03 tundra but I’ve never used it myself so I’m. Not sure
  17. RodorW

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

In the traveler? I’m talking strictly about the Terra as since manufacturing get easier when you can use the same parts in both so on the Traveler you get a Cabana switch and the same location in the Terra can be for the rear window
  18. RodorW

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

If the Tara does not get a cabana, it could be an easy swap to be the rear window drop/raise switch but we really won’t know until a production build is shown to us. Though I would like rear window control or cabana control within the app. And with the screenshots we’ve seen on the app it does...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

While the scouts we’ve seen are just concepts, it seems the Terra has a toggle switch in the center overhead, between the compass and the diff switches

    FB find of the day

Found it. It was Doug, I can’t say I agree with all of his takes, but the first statement is a good one.
