  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I couldn't help myself. I changed the colors to Scout logo colors. I think it looks great.

I think a modernized version of the Electrall logo would look good on the Scout BEVs somewhere.

I proposed this a long time ago and I cannot find the thread. IH had a concept tractor called "Electrall" and it had a really cool logo. Maybe Case IH would allow Scout to use it. Read about it here and you can also see the graphic...

I just thought about this. I certainly hope all the buttons are backlit and dimmable. Getting them to color change would be fantastic!

Not in my opinion. I found it, quite nice. My previous BMW iX had a squircle.

Is there anything that would make you switch from the BEV to the EREV?

Seems like a reasonable ask. Why not?

Great interview. I am a little disappointed that Chris said there will not be a work truck. Hopefully, that will be reconsidered as that is certainly what I want for my business and there is demand out there for fleets. Otherwise, Chris, please give it a little nip and tuck so it fits better...

The more I see those floor mats, the more I like them. Aren't they made of recycled material?

I am a full supporter of BEVs. But, I felt that the timelines, bans, transitions were all too much too fast. People do not like those sentiments in general. There are many use cases for BEVs and many that will apply for ICE for many years to come. In my own humble opinion EREVs will speed up...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I cannot condone talk of that brand of tractors. 😁. Take a look at this one. https://electrifynews.com/news/work-evs/kubota-electric-tractor-unveiled-with-ai-automation-and-efficiency-in-focus-at-ces-2024/

Even the Moke America (Chinese made), LSV version is $25-30k. And that is with AGM batteries, not lithium. I like them, but they are just too expensive. I see tons of them in Charleston.

These are really cool cars. I saw a ton of them last year when I was in Italy. It means little mouse. They are mostly made of plastic which is a bummer, but it doesn't rust. It is hard to describe them as a car. They are faster than a LSV, but not fast enough for the highway. Definitely a...

They make a lot of sense in many places. I like them a lot. But, we also have completely overgrown trucks and SUVs that Japan does not have on their roads. I’m not sure the manufacturers could stuff in enough safety features to make them able to save the occupants in an accident with a modern...
