  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Luxury features I would like to See

Uh oh I did a wrong-speak. Please forgive me for using the triggering language. Anyways, people that buy Lexus vehicles also hold onto them a long time because they are reliable. Rivians are not synonymous with reliability. Lexus vehicles consistently stay in the Top 5 of original owner...

    2 door Terra option

That’s bizarre. We have some pretty terrible dealerships here but Ford, Chevy, and Toyota all told me I can custom order a truck with a small deposit. Wonder what was going on there.

    2 door Terra option

Nobody is stopping folks from buying single cab trucks. You can walk into a dealership and order just about any configuration you want. Most people allow themselves to be upsold on a more expensive vehicle that they are sitting in, than wait 3-6 months for a custom order. If there is that...

Luxury features I would like to See

There is a Lexus version of the 4runner. I drive one everyday. All suspension and steering components are interchangeable because it shares the same frame as the 4th Gen 4Runner. Same axles. Same lift kits. The difference is it has a more refined interior with wood grain and leather, and...

Luxury features I would like to See

I feel that they appeal to different clientele already. What would you suggest? Maybe an “Eat The Rich” sticker with each Scout?

    2 door Terra option

Judging by the sales numbers, I am just not sure if there is a market for them. Crew cabs seem to dominate.

I will see what I can do, but I will be limited since the new iPhone only has one camera.

Crap I completely missed the email. Probably won’t be lucky since I waited so long. But I will still be going either way.

I I love the scale crawlers! Looks like a few Axial SCX24s with custom bodies. Very very cool.

What would your last vehicle be if you had to decide today

If I had to choose today, and the vehicle needs to be available right now, it would probably be what I was planning on initially. The LX700h Overtrail, begrudgingly. But still a vehicle I could drive for 30+ years with confidence.

    Off-topic stuff…

I leave around 6:30am for my commute and got rear ended at a red light last February. Have been a weenie since. Maybe ridden 5-6 times since I got the bike back from the repair shop. If he fits he sits. lol Even more surprising that he willingly hangs out with me at all. But hes loves being...

Gerald and I ran some errands this morning. The weather is beautiful today.

What trim levels would you like to see at launch?

Sounds like me after a 6-pack of IPAs.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

EV owners, does the power ever get boring? Do you use all of the pedal when you’re merging? Do you still do hard launches with other people? Do you ever find yourself driving more aggressively or assertively?

    Luxury Pacific Mist

I just used dental floss and alcohol. Buying at a dealership was already and all day affair and I wouldnt want to wait for them to fiddle with that.

First Time EV Owner: Live experience report

I drive golf carts daily at the University. On some carts, it will begin braking when you take your foot off the go pedal. We have 3 Club Cars and a Yamaha. All of them are electric. Our local cart repair contractor removed all of their speed limiters and maxed out our one pedal braking...
