  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I bet they didn’t sell thumpers that made 74hp back then either. This thing is stupid fast for a 330lb bike! This one even has multiple traction control, throttle maps, and ABS options. But yeah there are all kinds of niche gizmos and doo dads you can slap on them now. It can really get out...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Some more boxes arrived yesterday so after work I start slapping some more stuff onto the bike. New Vanasche Top Clamp installed. It has the AMPs pattern and designed to work with GPS mounts. I used an AMPS to female 1” RAM ball adapter to install my new Carpuride CarPlay head unit. Much...

Now you’re going to make me second guess my color choice for the Scout!

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

This week I added a new titanium/carbon fiber Wings exhaust. Sounds great and no longer feels like I am on a rolling incinerator. New Double Take mirrors. Rottweiler Performance Fueling Dongle (to richen closed-loop fueling for new exhaust). Giant Loop Mojave Bags, exhaust shield, and rear...

    Off-topic stuff…

Did some work on the new bike this weekend and went for a rip in the city. Got flagged down by some girls with signs telling me I need some ramen, and they weren’t wrong.

@J Alynn is this the boxy EV you were talking about a while back?

Is that orange thing a drywall jack? Also, great work! 👍🏼

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

It’s getting more popular with restoration shops here in the US. Pretty incredible results.

I think they are too high of resolution to post on the page. Are you using the 48MP setting? I bet that’s quite the job. Have you seen the dry ice blasting service some shops offer? It’s incredible. Makes frames look brand new.

Thank you. Remarkably no. Given the damage I found it surprising. Kind of wish they did so it would be totaled. Once a car is in a wreck like that it’s never the same again.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Welp. Had a great day yesterday at work. Finally got the green light on some changes I needed to make for our department and was feeling really good about things as I headed home. Then the wife called. Apparently the kids were all screaming and yelling at each other in the back seat. She...

    Ev Delay

I agree that this is not an official announcement so we can’t necessarily trust the information, but the Autopian is not a complete rumor rag. They have the most detailed information about Scouts plans for their service model. It was all official and revealed during a press event and all the...

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

I think we are safe with that one. You’ll still probably find a few on the engine if you choose a Harvester model though. But you’d need to be trying really hard to find one.

I am still torn, but I am also impulsive, so this may be what tips the needle to the Harvester option for me. Though there are still a few variables. What I would like to know up front, is what the price difference will be. If its $7k for the Harvester option as some have speculated, I would...

    What’s your hobby

Sorry about your back man. That does not sound like fun and must have been pretty humiliating. We both need to start doing Yoga! I used to go and it helps a lot with flexibility and can prevent strains.
