  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

    So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Lexus LX/Tesla3 ==> Terra BEV

    Can confirm. My 1999 Land Cruiser (Poor Man’s LX470) and 1997 Lexus LX450 (Rich Man’s Land Cruiser) both had over 330k miles on them when they were sold/totalled. Still ran strong and I towed with both for work. They can easily last 500k miles without a major repair. You’ll replace a few water...

    It is beautiful! This reminds me of the first Terra configuration. I HATED the color but after catching it in the light in those desert photos it grew on me. I think these tricky colors are fun. You can walk out to your driveway and see a different color each day of the week depending on...

    Lexus LX/Tesla3 ==> Terra BEV

    Welcome! You are in good company. I’ve had 4 Lexus SUVs and they are phenomenal machines. I think the Traveler will be a fantastic move, especially if you never use the 3rd row. The Terra is also a great choice if you don’t have a pickup already. I too am hoping the batteries will be...

    I did also ask about the piano black accents being on all of them. The grab handle for the tire carrier had it and that would be scratched and torn up in no time. No solid answer, but apparently some of their internal teams are not a fan either, so I am hoping they win that battle before...

    They look like they have plenty of room for my posse. Was happy with what I saw as far as interior space. Cant tell for sure without sitting in one, but I didnt want to risk the wrath of @CP1@scoutmotors. Unfortunately I will need to keep both reservations because I still cant decide on which...

    I touched my first Scout today. It was awesome to meet Jamie and Chris. Its so cool that Scout has people that are genuinely excited about their products. Speaking of which I heard some exciting unofficial tid-bits here and there and look forward to more official details rolling out as we...

    It’s a much different experience in my opinion. We rented a 2024 Expedition for a a week last month, and it was just fine. Had zero complaints. Everything had dedicated buttons and the tech was still useful. I am not sure this is the vibe that soccer moms and everyday people are wanting when...

    It’s hard to explain. You have to tap a center button to bring up the menu for each pad on the dashboard to physically see each function because the lights turn off, swipe around the pad to select the thing you want, select it by clicking the center button or clicking on the pad in that area...

    INCOMING RANT We rented a 2026 Ford Expedition Max this week for a project and IT WAS AWFUL. The dash was on a “shelf” pretty far from the driving position, and the steering wheel had freaking touch pads like the old OG iPods. They had “buttons” that would light up under the pads but there were...
