  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Scout Concepts in Fort Worth, Texas October 2, 2025

When they talk about the "batteries between the frame", they are likely talking about the 800V traction batteries. The 12V battery would be in a separate location, and would need to be easily accessible since it is a customer serviceable part (you will need to replace it in 5-7 years just like...

What will be your Scout's Vanity Plate?

(Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but with Halloween getting close I had a brain blast) For a Terra truck: RIZE (or RISE, if I want to really mess with people) Second choice: FY This truck won't just scare the competition, it will Terra-rize (or Terra-fy) them.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I knew that the regulars on here would appreciate my color choice! :D

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

The holes are for the hooks of the tie-down straps. The rails are too thick for the hooks, they were cut down from larger timbers and are each 1"x3" thick. So I added all those holes to make hooking the straps easier. I made these rails quickly during September because my current rails were not...

Do they have a specifications board for the new Jeep? I doubt it can compete with the Scout Traveler, but it would be interesting to compare/contrast.

    Luxury Pacific Mist

Since they are adding a large Build Supplier Park, why not shoot for the moon and get a bunch of customizing shops set up? A wrap and/or custom paint company - so you can get any exterior color/pattern you want. A seat cover/custom floor mat company - so you can order seat colors/texture and...

WiFi and Bluetooth disconnect (airplane mode)

This is an excellent suggestion. You have a (y) from me. A lot of people here have requested the ability to turn off certain features that they don't want. Scout is asking for our suggestions, and this is a perfect example of "I would not have thought of that". It never would have occurred to...

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

I think (hope! :D) we will see some "spy shots" of the test mules.

    Plaid Trim Option

That is a great idea. I wonder if a cheap sewing machine could attach the trim to the carpet? If would be fun to try and do it myself, and I could experiment with different pattern/trim colors for the floor mats.

Looks like Horse Powertrain is copying taking inspiration from Scout's idea for a EREV generator and trying to sell it to other auto makers. (that is my interpretation and you can't change my mind! ) https://www.motor1.com/news/772872/horse-powertrain-gas-engine-ceo-interview/

Speculation - will Scout use the new EV battery announced by VW?

VW just unveiled "a standardized battery cell to use across its electric portfolio." https://insideevs.com/news/772188/volkswagen-unified-battery-cell-solid-state-lfp/ From the article: "Developed by VW subsidiary PowerCo, the prismatic cell will debut in the automaker's line of affordable EVs...

    Solo Scout camping fantasy lineup

It is a 4x8 trailer. With 3 foot high sides, it can hold it's max weight in bodies. I had a plywood floor for the first few years, then I switched to using the Trex composite decking boards for the floor. That stuff will outlast the metal frame. I will probably unscrew it and use it for...

Scout Field Service Manuals - Technical Manuals Would Be Fantastic For Owners

⬆️THIS I spent a few hours going through the online manual and different online resources for the Ioniq 5 before buying it. Since it had been on the market for a few years, there was plenty of online resources for learning how to use the features. Even after owning a BEV for a few years prior...

August 2025 Scout Motors Production Center Update

I love the picture of the new overpass. It really gives me the feels for how large this project actually is.
