  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I don't think you should abbreviate Friday like that. To easy to misinterpret what you mean.

    Accelleration

I would ask the same question. Have you ever driven a 4.5 second car? More importantly, have you ever driven a 4.5 second SUV or truck the size of a Scout? I have been driving a Hyundai Ioniq 5 for over a year. The HI5 (2024 AWD) has a claimed 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, I assure you it does not...

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

It has been a while since I saw the video, but if I remember correctly they were talking about the Traveler, which has a 7K towing capacity. So it was the Traveler which dropped to 5K with the Harvester. If you want to take an optimistic approach, the Harvester dropped the towing capacity by 2K...

    Softopper for Terra?

A "softtopper" is a fabric truck bed cap, right? That would certainly be an aftermarket item rather than something from Scout. We will have to hope that the Scout Terra is popular enough to get the aftermarket companies interested enough to make things like this for us buyers.

    Maximum Overdrive

If I understand what you are talking about, you shouldn't be talking about speed, but rather torque. If you were to drive the axles at different speeds the faster axle would cause the tires to spin or the slower axle would cause the tires to drag. I don't think you want either of those in an...

    Bigger Cup Holders

I like the idea of the cup holders being oversized with inserts to get the size you want. There are designs for car cup holders I have seen where the cup holder adjusts to the size of the cup you are using, but since they have not become prevalent I am guessing there are issues with them. If...

    Great little vehicle

You might want to look at the measurements provided for the Traveler on the Scout home page. If you think this is going to be a "little vehicle" you may be disappointed.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

If he is not willing to self edit, you can auto-edit them. Select the account name and click the "ignore" button. That account's content is not displayed even when it is in a reply.

I hope you mean "it takes 8 minutes for the light from the sun to reach the earth." It the sun is goint to reach the earth in 8 minutes, I don't think I'm ever goign to see my Scout. 😭

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The main thing I noticed in that quote was the phrase "...an all-electric future..." So they are not giving up on EVs, they are just not going to focus exclusively on EVs. This makes sense to me. With the US government screwing up EV adoption incentives (cancelling the rebates and the emissions...

Backup Camera Relocation Kit/3rd Party Camera Support

I have not owned a pickup truck in a while. I do know that the rear view/backup cameras on the latest Ford and Chevy pickup trucks is in the tailgate. Are there other trucks that have the backup camera on the cab rather than in the tailgate? Or is there another camera that shows the bed of the...

    Solar Tonneau option

There are good reasons for not adding solar panels to electric vehicles. For details, I will refer you to two YouTubers with much better explanations that I could provide: Undecided with Matt Ferrell: Out Of Spec BITS: If you are still interested in adding solar panels to your EV, I think...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Or, you could just paint the 78 Scout II your favorite color, and then paint the new Scout the same color after it arrives. That would make your pair double unique awesomeness!
