  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Harvester towing

After a weekend in the woods jumping between my TRX and my brother’s Colorado, I’ve come to the conclusion that my next truck doesn’t need to be as wide as a school bus. I’ve got a Traveler Harvester reserved, but I’m thinking of switching to a Terra Harvester. However, if the tow numbers are...

    Initial Production Release

I’ve tracked about everything with this truck. Here is a summary of my order process: 4/13/21: Order placed 4/29/21: VIN supplied by the dealer 7/12/21: Build Sheet is posted 7/13/21: Window Sticker is posted 7/14/21: Truck is shipped to the dealership 7/26/21: Truck arrives at the dealership...

    Initial Production Release

It was the same when the first orders for the TRX started. I remember getting a VIN Number, then a build sheet, and then the excitement of the window sticker, all before the truck hit the dealers lot. Then I had to wait for the dealer to ship it to me. It was 16 weeks from actual order placed...

Please allow for the use tire chains

I’m bringing this back as a plea for room for tire chains. I found myself in the woods today 20 miles from anything with a foot of snow (and more in places) with nowhere to turn around. The snow in places was also mixed with ice and mud. It was the most nervous I’ve been in years when in the...

    Ev Delay

I’m still on the fence between the Terra and Traveler Harvester. If Scout gives us the Terra on 37’s with the Harvester, I have some serious decisions to make. I’m kind of rooting for the Full EV to come first so I have more time to think.

It is between a Bronco and a Scout for me. To me a Range Rover, Land Cruiser, and Land Rover (all that I can’t tell the difference between) come with a certain personality that I don’t possess. It’s kind of like Mercedes, it just doesn’t fit who I am. I was raised on Ford, Chevy, and Ram...

I’m going to respectfully disagree with @J Alynn and @cyure here. I personally am right between the Bronco and the Scout. Yes, the Scout interior looks better put together, but they are more alike than different. Sure some folks who look at the Defender and Landcruiser will look at Scout, but...

Scout is in direct competition with the Bronco (whether they like it or not). They need to be cautious of pricing to stay competitive.

How would you build your Scout?

I sat in a new C8. I kind of fit, but it wasn’t real comfortable or pretty!

Man I hope it’s not $90,000! You could be correct, but at $90,000 there is a lot on the market that is already proven and reliable. I’d have a hard time buying a first year vehicle at $90,000.

How would you build your Scout?

That’s a good looking car. One of those I like but at 6’8” could never stuff myself into. Other than the Dodge Challenger we had for a while, I’ve never found a sports car/muscle car I could fit in comfortably. I just might be destined to be a truck/large suv guy.

How would you build your Scout?

I have found that silver cleans up easy, and hides scratches better than most colors. You just have to accessorize silver correctly. A little touch of black goes a long way on silver.
