  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

This. Sorry, I should have posted this screenshot earlier. . . .

Site question that I don’t know where to post

Next to the “Registery” heading there is a red number. What is it? I’m assuming it is unread posts. How do I know where to find them? Mine are rising. I thought they would be in bold, but they’re not. It’s like Where’s Waldo . . TIA

    Solar Tonneau option

    That’s a lot of math . . .

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

I’d use a configuration tool. Especially if it gave me an idea of what I’m looking for in a Scout. Of course if it had prices associated with it, the better.

    solid state battery option

THAT’S what I was saying a few days ago about technology…. Let’s not rule anything out.

    Scout Studios

From reading the article, there will be models in the Studios to sit in and (if it’s anything like Tesla) have models outside to test drive. I purchased mine on my tablet and test drove one at a Tesla showroom. I liked the fact that there was absolutely no haggling over pricing. I’m glad Scout...

Happy to oblige. Besides my profile (that was 8yrs ago {10months}).

    Moore’s Law

Thanks & I get what you’re saying. I work in the tech side of an industry that’s is constantly evolving. Competing companies are always bringing their gear market, sometimes before it’s completely ready. I’m a realist. I understand the potential dangers that could arise in the auto industry. I...

    Moore’s Law

Chavannigans, I appreciate the adult response. You’re right, gen 1 is already leaps and bounds ahead of the industry. Sadly, like computers, it’s an industry that is rapidly evolving. Gen 2, could be right around the corner. My curiosity is about the concept vehicles that are out now and how...

    Moore’s Law

    Ok

    Moore’s Law

I appreciate this and to a certain degree, I agree. Except, right now the vehicles are concept not production. There is plenty of time to tweak. I’m not suggesting an overhaul. I’m more curious about the development of batteries or the efficiency between the engine and the motor. Or the...

    Moore’s Law

Considering Moore’s Law and the amount of time it will take for the factory to be built, has anyone heard if the company is open to technology advancements getting implemented before vehicles roll off the assembly line? Between now and then many things can happen to further the value of these...

    Thanks! What are choices 1 & 2? I may amend mine . . .

How would you build your Scout?

That’s a good question. Hopefully the smart people can answer that for us….

Scout Traveler SUV Green Off-Road Concept

Hi Jamie, I know we’re 2 years out, but when do you think there’ll be a list of options for these chariots? And is there potential that the ranges will change as technology progresses in that same time? Or is everything set in stone?

    New to Scout.

Just watched the video. I’m as impressed as I was before. I still have questions. Can’t wait to circumnavigate this site for more info. I love the Scout. As an EV owner & a cross country traveler this is exactly what I need. I can’t wait.

    New to Scout.

Thank you All for the warm welcome & words of encouragement. From this I gather that Scout is more than a concept vehicle but not quite yet a production car. I get it. There is much I need to learn and my wish list grows every day. I’ve owned an EV now for 4 years and I’ve got a pretty good idea...
