  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

If I have to say something nice, thank you for posting this. You went through great effort. THAT is never a price I could entertain . . .

    Snow load

But let’s ask the opposition question. How long will it last under the sun? What kind of UV protection does it have? Presently I’m in LA where it’s hot AF and I think of climate change and rising temps…

    Making a Left Hand Turn

Not exactly what I was looking for. I mean, yes, it’s in the right direction & it could spur competition. The 150mi on battery is a bit lame. But hey my wishes are already coming true . . .

What does the base model look like to you?

    I spit my coffee out on “hand-crank” windows . . .

    Making a Left Hand Turn

Like I said, maybe that’s a 3rd party thing. But with the length & range somebody could make an amazing RV.

    Making a Left Hand Turn

This probably would require partnering with another company. But given Terra’s long wheelbase, and range, it would be amazing to see Scout enter into the RV world. There, I’ve said it. Now everyone go chew on it for a while . . .

    Don’t be shy, say hi!

Having grown up in Boston, this is a little known part of our culture. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoot

    Don’t be shy, say hi!

NOW that is something I can get into. Sort of like a Smoot . . . Ok, I should first ask, who knows what a Smoot is . . .

Ma Maybe, if you’re going to be at the LA Auto Show in Nov, I can bring Rhona as a Service Animal . . . And we can meet.

I'm Ready for Another Big Announcement

    Must haves to purchase…

My “Must-haves”, reasonably priced (approx. $60k), +350mi range, solid infrastructure, +12” clearance, +7k towing, heated/ventilated seats. Doesn’t seem like much, but as someone who has done multiple cross country trips in my MY, some of these are priceless. Other than I10, I believe I have...

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

I agree with Dreamweaver. I’m glad people like the color, but that is not in my wheelhouse. I’m more of a blue, Blue, BLUE person. (Rhona is too!)
