  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Im more of a 37" tire guy, are we going to need a lift kit or will these squeeze in?

I am right in line with you. I have discussed this with Sean Barber and he is chomping at the bit to get his hands on one of our early builds for this exact reason. Not sure where this is going yet. But if it materializes you can bet I am getting involved.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Every time I hear the noises the EV cars make I think of the Jetson's car sound. And if it was up to me this would be an option on the Scout's :)

Unfortunately, NYC is the closest show for you to see the Traveler. After NYC we are heading west.

Not my call.... Well sometimes it is. But this is at the discretion of the NYC folks. Unfortunately beer is not a bribing tactic for me. I am 29 months sober. Sorry.

Scout Concepts in New York City September 18-19, 2025

I will be with it the whole time. We plan on it being on display late Friday night for the public to see. From what I understand this area gets a lot of foot traffic, so we thought Friday night would be a good chance for the public to see it. When I say late Friday...... Remember it's at the...

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Sorry.... Can't answer. Not involved with the suspension folks. And I would think this is something they are not wanting to publish yet.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Thank you. I have a really hard time biting my tongue. The vehicle is constantly evolving. I would love to share some things with everyone.... But we can't give away all our secrets. :) Visually what you are seeing in our concepts is 85% of what you will see in production (I believe this has...

Correction. Just the traveler will be in NYC. Both vehicles will meet up together at another event after NYC.

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Remember we will have a solid rear axle set up. You will not see these low hanging control arms in the rear of our vehicle. Every time I see this I just cringe. My opinion it's just not a good look.
