  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

New Harvester Info from LA Auto Show

He also said in the interview it would have a combined range of around 500 miles and over 100 all electric, so can easily still be 150 miles based on that.

Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

At least you would also have some form of braking with regen, and assuming you have a hold type mode you could come to a complete stop without touching the brakes if anything did happen, although not for a full emergency stop situation. Although I’m sure the vehicle will have some sort of...

Is there anything that would make you switch from the BEV to the EREV?

Not for me, I don't want the hassle of maintaining the Harvester and losing EV range in the process. I've done 1,000+ mile road trips in my EV so I have no worries on range. If Scout decided to only make the EREV and not the BEV then I would just cancel my order and look for something elsewhere.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I'm assuming the Harvester may have some sort of built in knowledge about when it was last ran and perhaps will require it to run every so often for that reason. I also wonder if you don't need the Harvester that often if there would be any recommendations regarding adding any fuel stabilizer.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Even without all the issues listed in the article, I still can’t fathom how it’s that expensive for what it is.

    Become A Scout Wayfinder

I haven’t had anything. Seems like it would be interesting if selected though.

    Jeep Recon

Yeah, I don't really need them for where we live in PA but more so for where we travel. They're still useful under 45 degrees anyways and stop better etc. even when it's just cold or wet so I don't mind having the two options. I figure once the outlay on the second set of wheels is done, then...

    Jeep Recon

That is what I will be debating when it comes to picking tires for the Scout. We go snowboarding a lot and drive up to Quebec every winter as well as parts of New England. I have winter tires on my Tesla that we take at the moment, I'm not sure if A/T or all season tires on the Scout will be...

Not to mention, no one who owns a Kia Telluride (my wife included) is going to be using it to pull logs.

    Jeep Recon

I am as well, I think 35” will look slightly better but for what I use it for, I think I’ll take the extra range of the smaller tires.

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

My dog is a little crazy when it comes to playing the snow and catching snowballs 😂 His beard gets a little out of control sometimes!

Our dog always wears his jacket in the cold and snow too! Thankfully this photo is not from this year!

I don't know why Wagons are so rare here, I really like them as well. Back when I lived in the UK I had a Golf R Wagon which I loved. Nice and fast and loads of room in the back. I know they made the Golf Wagon here (although I barely ever see any) but they never released the Golf R in Wagon...

    Jeep Recon

Well if Scout do 120 kWh battery and have the same efficiency as the Jeep then it would get 276 miles of range (444 km). Hopefully they will get more out of it but keep the price around the same. I still have hope Scout will come in where they say they will. I'm just hopeful that the spec I want...

    Plug in hybrid.

That was my guess as well, and maybe the top limit will be somewhere between 90-95% using the generator (if set to the mode for that option). All of these modes and electronics with Stellantis and having to deal with a big V6 engine and a battery does not fill me with much optimism based on my...

    Software Features

Maybe they could have it auto to a profile like normal as one option for those who like/want that, but also have a different option setting where if you have an easy entry option selected (where the seat goes pretty much all the way back for max room) they could have the profiles listed on the...

I wonder if they'll try and do a SUV version with a modern take on the old Audi Quattro that they won the WRC and play off that off-road rally type heritage.

    Schnauzers of Scout Motors

This is Fozzie, he’s a Giant Schnauzer and will be 6 in January. He’s a very good boy and loves car rides and all his toys. I’m looking forward to taking him on many adventures in our Scout when we get it.
