  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Apple CarPlay ULTRA for Scout: A Game Changer for Infotainment?

I agree. At the same time I'm not complaining watching a movie with surround sound ;)

Apple CarPlay ULTRA for Scout: A Game Changer for Infotainment?

One positive for AA is they are developing a way to use the built in cameras on vehicles (360 view). That would mean a vehicle like the Lightning which has cameras all over and no built in dash cam could do it. Tesla's sentry mode and even viewing cameras while driving (which almost every other...

Apple CarPlay ULTRA for Scout: A Game Changer for Infotainment?

It doesn't always work but that could get better You can use wifi on your phone and I use many apps such as XM, Amazon music, apple etc. I'm not against anything—I've just seen both implementations. Tesla feels refined, and things tend to work the first time—except for one instance when it...

Apple CarPlay ULTRA for Scout: A Game Changer for Infotainment?

Believe it or not, Tesla had good reason to go their own way—and honestly, their native system outperforms Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in most areas. That said, I do appreciate one thing about AA: if I’ve already got a route pulled up in Maps, it’ll usually sync automatically when I get in...

From a Tesla and Lightning Owner: Here’s What I Need to See from Scout

I've seen some third party solutions. I am hoping scout can come up with something integrated. I know they make a 1kw bed cover for the lightning. Autodimming Panoramic roof? Years ago, I spoke with someone who mentioned this kind of tech. I’ve always liked full panoramic roofs, but...

From a Tesla and Lightning Owner: Here’s What I Need to See from Scout

This video reminded me of when I test drove both the RAV4 Hybrid and the standard RAV4. The handling on the regular RAV4 was noticeably better. I’m hoping Scout can really hold its own when it comes to suspension and road feel. Comparable might be the Cybertruck and the Ford Lightning...

The One-Ton Problem with Scout’s Harvester Range Extender

Not exactly to replace. They are already offering an EV only model. I think it's only proper to have an extended range EV on the model as well.

The One-Ton Problem with Scout’s Harvester Range Extender

I think it's important to factor in a 30%+ reduction in real-world range when quoting these figures—and even more when towing. If we want true autonomy and aren’t sticking strictly to highway driving, that reduction matters. Take the Tesla Model Y, for example. It’s advertised at over 300 miles...

The One-Ton Problem with Scout’s Harvester Range Extender

I think Scout needs to offer an extended-range EV option—something around 200 kW, similar to what GM’s doing—with a real-world range of 450 to 500 miles. One thing I’m waiting to see is actual data on what the Harvester can deliver in terms of charging speed. Are we talking Level 2? Also...

    0-60 times with harvester

Totally agree. Utility is what’s going to define the Scouts. Ford nailed it with onboard power in the Lightning: you can run a job site or backfeed your house, and it still 0–60 in 3.8 seconds. Rivian got a lot right, but they missed that piece.

    0-60 times with harvester

Couldn’t agree more about having the power when you need it. Ever had someone try to block you from passing even when it was safe—then they sped up just as you did, forcing you into oncoming traffic? It’s happened to me. Of course, not when I’m driving something like a Tesla or the Lightning. My...

    0-60 times with harvester

I’m not suggesting Scout needs to go wild here, but I wouldn’t hate a 2.5 or even a 2.6 on a "performance" model. 3.5 is solid, no doubt. I’d really like to see uniformity on the harvester.

Model X can do it and Cybertruck.. I think most of Tesla's do it.
