  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Best one yet. Just think of the PIT maneuvers you could do with that.

I love the arm hanging out the window… “just walk it off, walk it off”.

And maybe a supercharger scoop mounted on the frunk?

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

Didn’t SM already say they were including switched wiring for four user-installed items?

    actual ranges before orders?

It’s not a VW. But I understand your consternation. It’s like the sloth racing team… “we’ll get there when we get there”. (On specs. I mean). :)

That looks a lot like the color they called Apache Gold

That is definitely the Black Bear.

Not a fan of matte black but this certainly looks better than a rattle-can job.

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

Not sure I agree with that 15k number. They are building a factory that will eventually produce 200k units/year. There are 130k + reservation holders. Even if 75% drop out that’s still 32k+ units.

Agree! This looks really fine. Not sure I can give up my Bumble Bee though.

    Scout Color Poll #1

I saw a Cadillac Escalade in this color yesterday. It was less saturated and pearlescent but… interesting.

The interesting thing is… if you actually spot one of these on the street you will know something special is out running around. The SUV looks like a Highlander rear end and the PU looks like a generic truck rear end.

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

That’s just not likely to happen. o_O

That seems a little harsh sir.

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

I might get a custom IH badge made and hide it somewhere…

    What’s your hobby

The rock in the ocean is pretty good. A crop of about 20% down from the top would increase the drama significantly. This will break the composition rule that says don’t put the primary subject in the center, it works.

When I speak of “want”, I picture a small child having a tantrum jumping up and down when not getting a sweet soon enough. From my vantage point now, a little maturity helps mitigate the drooling anticipation.

True enough. My indecision behind the question is likely related to my reasons for buying a Scout in the first place. I grew up with them, i learned to drive in them, my first car was a Scout, and therefore I have a huge emotional attachment to what the Scout name represents in my life. I don’t...

Here’s a question. If the BEV is delayed a year, would you get an EREV instead of waiting? I asked myself this and wasn’t able to come up with a definitive answer.
