  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Offroad Feature Request: Front Dig

Sounds similar, but less hard on the rear end, as Ford’s trail turn - which locks the inside rear tire and applies power to the rest. Super fun but only supposed to be used on soft/very loose surfaces.

Not sure about ZF, but Magna’s ebeam is only 40lbs heavier. Which is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be Post in thread 'E Axle Brand Poll' https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/e-axle-brand-poll.2329/post-33076

    Trail Side Fixes?

Mobile service: confirmed Offroad service/trail recovery: speculation $5 says there’s no trail side service ever, imo. Cool idea but the logistics and overhead would be…impressive. Not to mention liability if they as the manufacturer tear up your car recovering it. I’d love to lose that $5...

    Trail Side Fixes?

I’m hoping for spare CVs and tie rod ends.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I’ve been wondering if there will be some interior attachment points for accessories. Bronco and Jeep are good about it. Being able to swap the rear windows (aftermarket, or I guess maybe factory?) for gullwings would be awesome as well. I still want hammock hangers on the interior, dangit!

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

Also, correcting myself: I do not know what if any tax issues come up for DTC companies altering MSRP. I think there’s nuance there but actually have no idea if that’s true.

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

This is why I tell myself I’m not coming in any lower than $75k (and not sure I’ll pull the trigger at that price) That way I get pleasantly surprised if it comes in lower for me!

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

I can’t imagine Scout changing MSRP on any vehicles solely to target a single state’s rebates, except maybe CA. California is 34% of all U.S. EV sales. Even then…seems unlikely to me. Altering MSRP has tax implications for manufacturers, not to mention huge impacts on lending (and, if they...

Mine both got quiet after an hour or so, but had to be out of their crates otherwise it was non-stop. Next time? DRUGS

    Scout Color Poll #1

I would love to consider a chrome or polished package for trim and wheels - maybe just a render with the offroad package. @Jamie@ScoutMotors if the graphics department has any spare cycles… And because I know at least a couple someones are going to ask…maybe even a yellow version?

    Scout Color Poll #1

Not once in my life have I ever considered a yellow car (except maybe dreaming of a Lamborghini). But damn if @cyure isn’t burning it into my brain. (I’m still going green. Or maybe a good ruby. Or will I go basic and get white to hide scratches?)

    Center Headrest

If rear visibility is anything like my Bronco with that spare, folding down the headrests isn’t going to make any difference. One of the few luxury/tech features I’d consider is a digital rear view. Every time I drive a vehicle with one it’s like magic. If it’s not an option (or it gets...
