  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I still think the original sketch wheels would be amazing.

Yeah, I tried using them about twice and gave up

I have no idea. Eliminating it at all doesn’t make sense to me. But Ford, for example, put in a bunch of effort to include fancy handles on the side of the dash next to the door so I know it’s not just accidental.

Something I’ve noticed is most modern vehicles seem to lack that a pillar grab handle. I always thought it was either a visibility or airbag thing, but I know there are some that have a passenger side a-pillar grab handle. I’d kill for one on my Bronco but in that case it’s an airbag issue.

I still want to see steelies, or steely-like options like the Broncos had. Very utilitarian looking.

Other than possible aero considerations if the factory wheels are particularly aero-oriented? Shouldn’t be any different than swapping wheels on ICE.

I think factory bronze or dark gold as an option would be cool…but I really, really think I’d like to see a polished option along with some bright trim to match. Really throw it back a bit.

What’s the name for this color? Spring Water?

What trim levels would you like to see at launch?

Exactly this for me, but with 37s (since they’ve opened that Pandora’s Box) and a bench seat. I’d add adaptive cruise and lane keeping, don’t care about “self-driving” along with a front camera as well.

    Frunk Cooking Recipes

This is actually part of how I met my wife. She used to host very boozy potlucks (house parties with a good emphasis) and when the single guy who’s new to town shows up with fresh homemade cookies….the ladies pay attention 😏

    Frunk Cooking Recipes

Okay, this isn’t frunk cooking but it’s the only cooking thread I found. So @cyure @Logan here’s the cookie recipe I use: The rest periods are absolutely critical to getting the consistency right, as is the browned butter. I personally recommend using bittersweet chips instead of semisweet...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

I’ve been quietly thinking to myself the Traveler might take me back to my silver vehicle roots, but I’ve been enjoying having actual colors on my last few cars. Wonder if this will change that. A really good silver on a car with the right lines is timeless.

Taking bets on the new color of the Traveler Concept to be seen soon...

I saw a very slick (unofficial) render in Purple. Never been a purple guy, but that might change how I feel. Who am I kidding, silo green my beloved

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

Exactly this. I would think for the Terra in particular getting together with a few big name overlanding/off-roading companies would be key. If I switch to a Terra, I want bed storage options (toppers, slides) that look good and integrate with the bed power sources. Traveler seems like a great...
