  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Rivian CEO Interview

Damn I missed it! Yeah I’m not too shocked, they seem to be full EV all the way and I feel like it would change their brand image. How have you been feeling about EV vs Harvester? I honestly think I might be leaning full EV now. I want to remove complexity.

    Rivian CEO Interview

Here’s a cool interview on Doug Demuro’s of RJ from Rivian, nice to see CEO’s in this long form conversation style. Hopefully we see Scott on these type of shows more. It’s cool to hear towards the end they had a concept of the R1 with a removable roof.

3rd Vehicle More Similar to OG Scout 80

Awesome Idea, I'm pressing more for a bigger third row but this is also amazing. Traveler, Terra, Travelall, and 80. What a lineup!

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Isn't it crazy that they stopped making it right as the overland/off road world blew up? One of many poor decisions by Nissan...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Always liked the Xterra. Should be interesting. Nissan really went down hill so maybe his can help them come back.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Yeah the estream is cool, wish they’d take it past concept… And the basecamp loses the iconic shape and luxury they have. I think a carnival 16 with a lift And underbody protection would be amazing!

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I started watching that, it seems awesome. Airstream came up with a similar concept but I never heard anything since. Love the airstream style, I would love to see that come to fruition. Also would love to see an off road style airstream but that’s for another topic…

    Maximum Overdrive

If I remember correctly the Red Toyota (Red Lobster) in this video had mutiple speed transfer cases for front and rear. Always thought that was badass. This sounds similar!
