  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Former Rivian R1S owner, almost twice. Can’t wait for the Scout

Yes nice car Scott had made a reference in an online interview stating Paraphrasing “If Rivan is like say Patagonia then Scout is Levi’s with a little Carhardt.” I truly hope this is true. I really am not looking for a plush luxury SUV living in the Mercedes BMW world. No offense intended...

    Recline flat rear bench

Yeah the option of cushions up or down pending on your situation

    Recline flat rear bench

What’s peoples feelings if rear seats capable of reclining flat similar to old vans? And if possible fronts that can recline to meet rears.
  7. Coyle70

    Layflat front bench

Plus if the rear seat could recline flat like an old van. I remember some old Puegot vehicles the front seats would recline after you removed headrests then they would fill voids and be totally sleepable for couple or more

I'm going to try to gas light myself about batteries and range

I too am now considering a BEV since charging is now down to 20 min or so. Actually stopping on my 500 mile trips to eat and check out new areas may be a nice change. Try not to let myself feel rushed

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

It’s not like steering columns of old. Now everything is plastic and not as mechanical more electronic. Maybe cliché, but they don’t build them like they used to

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Both. I have Ram crew now and pickups always served me well. I’m considering all electric not opposed but family lives 450 miles away and if I could make it without stopping and charging also appealing. (So indecisive.)lol

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

Agreed. Some of us aren’t getting any younger, plus for the vertically challenged 😄

    Must haves to purchase…

I guess deal breaker for me is price. If they offer a tiny tire low range version for 60k and the version they’ve been showing at 80k+. And Range. If real world range is considerably off if their optimal possible range.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Bring back Vent windows😁. I know long shot. I have owned 3 scout2s and even with top off I would crank them open. The air flow was the best.
