  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout shows off the UX at CES!

I thought it was worth posting since we have gained new members since CES who may not have seen the original post. Lots of people have questions about the UX.

One thing is for sure: any revenue lost in gasoline taxes will be replaced by other things: mileage taxes, tire taxes, higher registration fees, etc.

Let's do a (very) hypothetical scenario. Let's say Harvester and BEV cost the same to make. Let's say Scout sells 100,000 Harvesters. If Scout charges only $1,000 for the Harvester, they make $100 million! That's why they do it. One thousand dollars spread out over a loan or lease is not much...

If 70% of your customers want an option, then that's a good reason to charge more for it.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

    Off-topic stuff…

The service dept at my Lexus dealer has a system that scans under your car with lasers (and maybe cameras) when you pull in and checks your alignment. The second you get out of your car, they can present you with "evidence" you need an alignment.

Stellantis 4-bangers are world engines. There's no gatekeeping. The Ram 1500 diesel came from VM Motori in Italy (owned by Stellantis).

Factory delivery would be great, but I'm not sure it's possible until South Carolina changes their franchise laws.

I never said it was new. I posted it because there was a discussion about lifted/off-road minivans.

His arrogance is almost refreshing. He can spin it however he wants, but they're losing sales by not offering Apple and Android.

Hopefully it gets a second generation with a range extender or better batteries. I'd love to own one.

    FB find of the day

I agree. It's 2 years away. When Scout says something today, I take it as gospel until they say something different. They have smart people there. They're aware of the negative press that automakers have received from over-promising and under delivering.
