  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What will be your Scout's Vanity Plate?

I… might need to steal “RIP AND” lol, I burst out laughing.

What will you typical cargo look like in your Scout?

My typical cargo will be tools, and materials. I’m a contractor, and do a lot of various tasks, so the tools vary, but mostly wood-work. I’m thinking about putting bedside toolboxes on it. I currently have a Diamondback HD on my F-150, which I love… but access to the tools is sometimes a pain.

How would you build your Scout?

Usually not really into the silver, but that’s a really nice version. Clearly this truck is going to look slick in virtually every color and guise we can throw at it.

How would you build your Scout?

I read it as ribbing, but unfortunately so much gets lost in text with no facial, body, or intonation cues.

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

That sounds so fun honestly. I’d probably not own a hi-po version, but Reaper is such a damned cool name to use for a trim level that they just have to do it. Less Halloween-themed I could even picture a logo of a scythe cutting a bunch of wheat in a simple stylized fashion. Keeps with the...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I had a feeling they likely were for ratchet strap purposes. Fantastic!

Scout Concepts in Fort Worth, Texas October 2, 2025

Would absolutely love to go see them, but notice is just too short and too many promises have been made for work the next couple weeks, haha.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Looks nice, what’s the purpose of the holes drilled through every other 2x?

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Totally not to detract from the beautiful work… but that riding mower is just waaay too darn happy.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

It definitely is a different perspective, I agree. I currently don’t have any speakers, or use any ear buds while riding, so yep it’s just me and my thoughts cruising along.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Put these saddlebags on my bike last weekend, and got to put them to some use this morning. I’ve had this bike for 18 years, unfortunately it was stuffed in the garage the last 12. Got it back to running and have been trying to put as many miles as a middle-aged family man can, haha. This...

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

I remember a heavy set guy about 20 years ago. He hauled bundles of newspaper in some heavy-duty vans. He used the steering wheel at his stops to get back in. His wheels/columns were always having trouble of some kind or another.

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

That, now that, is enough reason for me to want some like that. Hah!

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

Ughh… I love everything about it… I would love to see more photos/videos of the cargo box and bench. I’m trying to understand if they’re separate things or one and the same. I really like those rims too. It gives such a nice chunky look compared to multi-spoke rims. The color is perfect as...

How would you build your Scout?

Terra Harvester (unless they can’t hit at least 8k towing, then BEV) Green, ideally like my profile pic. Standard 33” tire is great by me. Cabana roof, I want to ride down to the beach open-air. That’s pretty much it as far as the exterior goes. I’m likely going to put some aftermarket...

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

Here’s what Scott had said in that interview with Leno. “Look, on the electric vehicle, on the truck. The Terra here, up to 10,000lbs. So, real deal, payload about 2,000lbs. On the Traveler, a little bit less, about 7,000lbs. When we get to the range extender both of them were able to do about...

[Terra] Double cab with a 6.5' bed

Another thread resurrection from me today… A 6.5’ bed would be amazing on this. I have one on my current F150 crew cab, and like you I’m a contractor as well. I put a diamondback on mine and the back is always loaded with tools. I’m hoping with the frunk and some side boxes I can manage to...

Do you think we will see a Travelette (Long Bed Heavy Duty)?

Thread zoooombie 100% I would love a Travelette Harvester. Diesel trains do it, why not a 3/4 ton truck? Give me built-in bedside storage like the current Ram or the first-gen Titan with the fender spots and I’d be absolutely tickled. That said, it would probably be smarter for Scout to go...

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

Personally as far as the interior color goes, I ultimately don’t care that much. I’d rather have an all-black interior than an all white, cream, or light gray interior. The reason I say that is my work. I’m a carpenter, in south-east Texas. When I’m done with my day I’m usually completely...

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

Absolutely. Shoot, if Scout let you save it to your profile it may give them a really good analytical tool to determine what kind of mix of options people are really after.
