  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Taking bets on the new color of the Traveler Concept to be seen soon...

Sorry, I could not find anything from the JWST or Hubble for sale. But this is pretty close:

Taking bets on the new color of the Traveler Concept to be seen soon...

I have the same though. is he saying "cruel" or "far off"? Not knowing makes this even more fun! For the Traveler, I guess black or a very dark grey. For the Terra, I guess a shade of red.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Of course, the built in light saber holder must be part of the "Star Wars 50th Anniversary" trim that will come out with the launch. After all, 2027 is the 50th anniversary of Star Wars (Star Wars was released on May 25, 1977). Will it be anything like the Hyundai IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum...

You say that as a joke, but then there is this little voice in the back of my mind that says "You know, other vendors are making really odd artificial noises for their EVs..."

Scout Concepts in New York City September 18-19, 2025

😭 I have a Terra reserved and want to see it in person. I guess I will have to wait for the next show with both prototypes and hope it is in the North East.

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

I just asked Google, and it gave me this article: https://interestingliterature.com/2023/10/best-songs-about-the-colour-yellow/ But, it looks like my suggestions are at the bottom of the list. Clearly, the person that created that list doesn't appreciate music the way we do. :D

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

@cyure I assume you have "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles on that list. But do you have this one? :p

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

This suggestion of including a key fob as an option is a good one. I think this leans into the same desire multiple people have mentioned of an a-la-carte approach to options. If Scout does go with an a-la-carte approach to vehicle options, and the vehicles support phone-as-a-key, they could...

    Accelleration

It was intended for the OP. The OP said "I'm very disappointed in the reduced performance." So I want to know if the OP has a vehicle the size of the Scout that can go 0-60 in under 5 second. And why they would be "disappointed" if the Harvester can only do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.

    0-60 times with harvester

I am going to reply with the same thing I said in the other thread: The Scouts are not race cars, they are trucks. Expecting race car acceleration for a full sized truck is ridiculous. You say the $86K Ford Lightning (that is starting price for the extended-range Lightening) can do 0-60 is...

I don't think you should abbreviate Friday like that. To easy to misinterpret what you mean.

    Accelleration

I would ask the same question. Have you ever driven a 4.5 second car? More importantly, have you ever driven a 4.5 second SUV or truck the size of a Scout? I have been driving a Hyundai Ioniq 5 for over a year. The HI5 (2024 AWD) has a claimed 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, I assure you it does not...

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

It has been a while since I saw the video, but if I remember correctly they were talking about the Traveler, which has a 7K towing capacity. So it was the Traveler which dropped to 5K with the Harvester. If you want to take an optimistic approach, the Harvester dropped the towing capacity by 2K...

    Softopper for Terra?

A "softtopper" is a fabric truck bed cap, right? That would certainly be an aftermarket item rather than something from Scout. We will have to hope that the Scout Terra is popular enough to get the aftermarket companies interested enough to make things like this for us buyers.

    Maximum Overdrive

If I understand what you are talking about, you shouldn't be talking about speed, but rather torque. If you were to drive the axles at different speeds the faster axle would cause the tires to spin or the slower axle would cause the tires to drag. I don't think you want either of those in an...
