  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I have downloaded and set up several EV charging apps on my phone so I have options when on a long trip. These include Electrify America, ChargePoint, EVgo, and Blink. None have charged for account setup.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I have a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5. I am traveling from Milford, New Hampshire to Biloxi, Mississippi with a stop along the way to pickup family in Belfast, Tennessee. Without including stops that is about 1,500 miles (or about 2,400km) one way. I use ABRP to plan the trip. Since I still have free...

    Update?!?

If you check the OFFICIAL SCOUT NEWS AND UPDATES (link), that is where the month production facility updates are posted.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I am planning a long road trip starting on Friday (the 10th) so will be doing a lot of DCFC over the next two weeks. That's the only reason it came to mind. It would also vary depending on the DCFC costs. While $0.50 per kWh is close to the national average right now, I picked it because it...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

While I don't disagree with your point, you left off the cost when DCFC: 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 (DCFC at $0.50 per kWh and 3.3 miles/kwh): $15.15

Package options - what would you like bundled?

I hope that Scout does not do a bunch of trim levels. What I would prefer is packages like @Logan mentioned. Rather than trim levels (which have fancy names, but realistically are just variants of "basic", "mid-level", and 'high priced"), I hope they have one or two trims but offer packages. You...

Package options - what would you like bundled?

Since Scout will be selling direct, I don't think we have to worry about "required dealer add-ons" like the extra floor mats and first aid kits. I'm sure the dealers add those on for <reasons>, but I doubt those reasons apply to a direct sales model. That said - a Scout branded first aid kit...

    Lexus LX/Tesla3 ==> Terra BEV

So, what made you decide on the Scout pickup truck (Terra) instead of the Scout SUV (Traveler)? Since you are coming from a SUV (Lexus LX) I am just curious.

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

Happy Friday. :) I am guessing we won't get new pictures in this thread, since we will be getting a bunch of new pictures from attendees at the Ft. Worth, Texas event. But, we still need to keep this thread alive for future renders, right?

Scout Concepts in Fort Worth, Texas October 2, 2025

When they talk about the "batteries between the frame", they are likely talking about the 800V traction batteries. The 12V battery would be in a separate location, and would need to be easily accessible since it is a customer serviceable part (you will need to replace it in 5-7 years just like...

What will be your Scout's Vanity Plate?

(Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but with Halloween getting close I had a brain blast) For a Terra truck: RIZE (or RISE, if I want to really mess with people) Second choice: FY This truck won't just scare the competition, it will Terra-rize (or Terra-fy) them.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

The holes are for the hooks of the tie-down straps. The rails are too thick for the hooks, they were cut down from larger timbers and are each 1"x3" thick. So I added all those holes to make hooking the straps easier. I made these rails quickly during September because my current rails were not...

Do they have a specifications board for the new Jeep? I doubt it can compete with the Scout Traveler, but it would be interesting to compare/contrast.

    Luxury Pacific Mist

Since they are adding a large Build Supplier Park, why not shoot for the moon and get a bunch of customizing shops set up? A wrap and/or custom paint company - so you can get any exterior color/pattern you want. A seat cover/custom floor mat company - so you can order seat colors/texture and...
