  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I rented an expedition max last year (the prior version) and I thought that one was nice. This one looks a lot worse and not an upgrade.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

This doesn’t surprise me, especially in the short term as otherwise no one who was eligible for the tax credits would buy one in the next few months. I assume most people would have already bought/leased before they expired or are not planning to buy within the next year.

What would your last vehicle be if you had to decide today

I’ll go with a Ferrari F40. I can always Uber to get groceries and stuff right? 😂

    Off-topic stuff…

I would probably do the Everglades. We actually did a cruise out of Miami last year and had one day to do some excursions in Miami, we wanted to do Everglades but it was full so we did a tour similar to the hop on hop off you can do. That was also really enjoyable so either way I think you will...

ICE To EV. 2019 Tundra to 2023 F150 Lightning Lariat.

Nice truck! I wish I could make a F150 Lightning work for a couple of years to get me through to the Scout. For the charger you could always look at the Tesla Universal Connector to get both plugs on one wall connector.

    Things to Avoid

Just to clarify, I meant all the driver assistance, lane departure warning, collision warning etc. can be turned off, not the reverse noise.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I really want a 911 Targa, always wanted one since I was young. I see those start from $175,200 so I think I won't be getting a new one any time soon either!

    Things to Avoid

The reverse noise is required so it will definitely have something for that. As J Alynn said, it boosts safety ratings so there will be some level of this, even on the base version I imagine. But, even if it is included, on every vehicle I've ever seen, including my Tesla, they can all be turned...

What trim levels would you like to see at launch?

I imagine the solid roof option will be the default (cheapest) option over the pano roof and cabana top.

    FB find of the day

I like that detail too, hopefully they can keep it fairly similar for the production version, once you presumably include adjustable seat belt height in the design.

    What was your first car?

My first car after I passed my test was a 2003 Renault Clio. My parents helped with that one and got it in 2005 for £3,500. It was small but pretty economical (about 45 mpg) and got my everywhere I needed to. It left me stranded one time with some sort of electrical failure. The first car I...

    Driver settings memory

I'm hopeful for individual profiles that it will save all this for, whether that's through detecting the persons phone or just selecting the profile on the screen when you get in. I'd love if they could have adjustable pedals with memory as well.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I agree, and it's always when people compare just going as fast as possible where it obviously works out much slower. I'm sure if I drove my EV from here in PA out to Arizona and did it again in my gas car, the time it would take me would be fairly similar. Now if I just raced there as fast as...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

That doesn't surprise me, I beat my in laws on a trip from PA to the Outer Banks, NC doing that. I was in my Tesla Model 3 and they were in a BMW X3. We both stopped for lunch (different places) and I charged while we ate, same again for a quick rest stop whereas they had to fuel after their...

Scout Traveler Debuts in New Pacific Mist Color

No rips or anything like that in ours so far. We don't have the same use as you though. It has survived a few furious nesting sessions by our dogs though :ROFLMAO:

Scout Traveler Debuts in New Pacific Mist Color

No experience in terms of severe mud/farm work type of stuff, but I've had muddy dogs get in and dealt with the occasional drink spillage etc. and never had any issues wiping everything off and looking good as new. The only stain I've ever had that we couldn't get out was in my wife's old...

Scout Motors Needs to Rethink “Local” Service. Don't do the Tesla model.

I will happily sacrifice having VW as service centers to not have to use them as a dealer.

Scout Traveler Debuts in New Pacific Mist Color

At least mine will be the Terra if we do accidentally end up with the same color combo!

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I am with Progressive and was before I got my EV, premiums weren't too much higher. I did shop around a few places but couldn't find anywhere significantly cheaper. I haven't had any incidents in mine so no experience on filing claims.

    Optional 2nd Row Captain Chairs

How many two row SUVs have captains chairs? I know plenty of three row SUVs do, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a two row with captain's chairs.
