  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Okay I know in a thread recently we were discussing which model might come first and if that would be BEV/EREV specific. This article speculates the EREV will come first. I still think BEV because they started developing it first. All this to say who the heck knows. 🤷‍♀️...

August 2025 Scout Motors Production Center Update

Oh factory pick up is a very popular idea around here! Lots of us want to do that, me included. There has been mention of some sort of experience center, I would suspect it’s going to happen. I’m ready!!

I just don’t think of the Scout as luxury and having test driven the R1s, same. On the pricier side but not luxury. Okay can I ask then if the R1T is the best truck you have ever driven why are you switching to the Terra? Thanks!

Thanks for that. Range Rover is very different than a Defender to me. Different price range and luxury yes. Toyota Land Cruisers start at around $60k. But honestly whatever makes you happy. Now I know J has said he had a Bronco for a few years and sold it. I just don’t know much about...

No worries at all, everyone has different opinions. Now just so I understand are you deciding between a Scout and a Bronco. I’m coming from a Wrangler and I’m definitely looking at the Scout as an upgrade, but mine is a 2013. Lots of things are upgrades. 😹

    New route-finding application

My husband said the same thing but the Wrangler is paid for, still under warranty and the insurance is cheap. I want to just keep saving for my Scout.

With everything I have test driven and seeing them in person, I would compare it to a Defender 110 or the Landcruiser.

How would you build your Scout?

They had to add 20 inches so Shaq could fit. Wow. https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a65971041/shaq-custom-c8-corvette-z06-20-inch-stretch/

Same. I just keep thinking the trim level price swings of things like 4Runners, Broncos and Wranglers. $25k to $30k swing between lowest trim level and highest. I’m not counting the Raptor or the 392. So if they start a little under $60k I could see them getting up to $90 but that’s fully...

How would you build your Scout?

I have always heard the new Corvettes work for tall people but don’t know about 6’8”. I saw an article the other day Shaq got a custom built one so he could fit.

when does production begin ..pLEASE HURRY UP

I wonder when it’s time to order if they will tell us what’s coming first and what trims and colors etc. so if we want to try and go sooner rather than later we can order based on that. Like don’t get me wrong I love love PBY, but if it’s not going to be out till year two or later I may decide...

Honestly l always thought they were bigger, until I went to Nationals. I was really surprised how small the original Terra was. The last Traveler was pretty good size and that Travelall that was for sale there was pretty big too, but I know how many of you want a 2 door with removable things.

Especially if there’s some sort of accessory shop onsite where you can add winches and lighting and such. I could see that adding up real quick.
