  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

The low beam on my new Husqvarna is downright dangerous. Just a regular old halogen bulb in a large reflector. Just enough components there to say “it has a headlight”. The evening after I got it I rode it to a wedding, and the ride back was pretty sketchy. I could see maybe 20ft in front of me...

    Off-topic stuff…

Growing up I had neighbors with dirt bikes but my parents forbade me from ever riding or owning one. The Long Way Round is what inspired me, and I always gravitated to off-roading so a GS1200 was my dream bike, and I romanticized traveling across the world on two wheels. But doing those trips...

Have you tried Miss Go Electric's Channel? I really enjoy her weekly The Current EV news updates. She goes right to the information and is very professional. She also advocates for electrification and has some great educational content.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Their launch video was pretty funny. I guess the CEO is doing the corporate song and dance to keep the money flowing.

Man… I really was. My main hesitation was that I don’t want to drive to Dallas or Austin for service. But this dealership is brand new, so they are still getting their website updated and are still adding other brands. I think they are working on Ducati and just got their first shipment of...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I did get pretty frustrated yesterday though. When they were doing their PDI and setup I walked into the shop and they had a brand new Stark Varg sitting there. I had already signed the paperwork, and got an excellent deal on the 701 Enduro, but I wasn’t aware that there was a Stark Varg...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I convinced a coworker to buy a motorcycle a few years ago. He got a brand new KLR650 and he absolutely loves it. He saves a ton of money in gas compared to commuting in his truck, and he’s relied on it when the truck is down. After my accident least year I haven’t rode my motorcycle as much...

It definitely makes a lot of sense for fleet vehicles and cab services. The Y still retains Lane Centering too, which is a great safety feature.

    Travelall 3 Row

I know its not going to happen, but I really wish there was a rear swingout carrier option for the Terra. Yes, its one more thing to move when you open the bed, but I would prefer to have more space in the bed freed up on trips. If it was removable like the Travelers that would be even better...

That depends on the tire size.
