  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I wouldn't want either one of them!

My wife should have a full EV. That said, she still has charging infrastructure anxiety. She has a BMW X5 plug in hybrid. It has about a 45 mile range on electricity. The engine almost never fires up. It calculates the difference between the two power sources. It is about 95% EV use, maybe...

I was thinking today that Ford should’ve just called it Mach-E

Even without politics, or incentives I will still drive EVs as my main vehicle because they are better vehicles for a variety of reasons. I know there are plenty of specific use cases that make ICE still very desirable. But, if all things were equal regarding charging infrastructure, price...

Kinda sounds like it. But, this will fill a gap. There used to be Ford Rangers everywhere when they were still compact. And if it has the passenger room of a RAV4, they will have a hit.

I have stopped at a Buccees that has a Mercedes Benz 400v charger. Absolutely awesome!

At the end of 2024, 30 out of 46 locations had EV chargers.

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

One of my territory reps has a GMC Acadia as a company car. The new one does not have grab handles above the door or hooks like the last model and it drives him crazy.

What are you driving until release?

I find many of those same thoughts fascinating. I am fully on board with EV. But if Harvester brings more people to Scout I think that’s great. I really hope it doesn’t turn into an us versus them thing.

What are you driving until release?

Welcome! Out of curiosity, tell us about your commute and average travel. What has been your split between electric and gas? Are you interested in the BEV or Harvester. Thanks!

This got me thinking and I asked ChatGPT to help me put it together. I think this makes a lot of sense. We are still fairly early in the transition phase. So, ICE will need to be around for at least 20 more years if not more. I’m unable to pull live web data right now, but I can still walk...

    Optional Third Row

I am not getting it in my Traveler, but it certainly has been popular. I do think it is absolutely part of what is going to make Scout a success. Welcome by the way. Please continue to participate and share your thoughts and opinions.

Like that idea too, but it would have to be absolutely idiot proof to keep gasoline drinkers from becoming a Scout thing.

It's pretty easy with Ford. All they sell is SUVs that require names and they all start with "E" related to some sort of motion, or travel. Here are some freebie ideas to get you started. Egress, Emerge, Endeavor, Exertion, Endurance, Eviction, Evacuation
