  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

New Scout Trucks To Be Revealed October 24, 2024

Only difference is the automakers started replacing the sliding side door with a regular side door and they gave them off roady names.

New Scout Trucks To Be Revealed October 24, 2024

Just about every vehicle on the road today is a minivan. They call them SUVs now. And I don't think we should stifle honest, unemotional discussion about it. I'm not dunking on the silhouette just to dunk on it; I have an opinion about what I'm seeing with my eyeballs. That's all.

New Scout Trucks To Be Revealed October 24, 2024

I’ve shown the silhouette to several people who recall the original and so far it’s not looking good for this design. I’m not shocked; the silhouette looks like every other car on the road: a minivan that doesn’t want you to know it’s a minivan. It certainly doesn’t look like a Scout so far...

New Scout Trucks To Be Revealed October 24, 2024

The only photo we've seen so far (copied below for reference) suggests an approach angle similar to a minivan. The front bumper looks to be about 6'' off the ground. I'm not clowning or trolling, just wondering if maybe I've overlooked something in the photo below.

    A New Generation Of Scout

lol you’d have to saw the entire quarter panel off. Could be wrong, but I don’t think the new Scout will be an off roader.

Scout Motors - who are your competitors?

I’m not in marketing professionally, but it seems fairly obvious that Scout’s strongest play is nostalgia. The 60s and 70s vibes are strong in autos right now. Land Cruiser is the best example currently but the Bronco kicked it off, Ineos is singularly focused on nostalgia, and even the VW Bus...

Scout Motors - who are your competitors?

The vast majority of Scout’s customers are not on this forum lol. Once they sell the first couple thousand to the people who want an EV, they’ll need to address the rest of the market to stay alive. It’s going to take A LOT of nostalgia, new tech that no one has done well before (I can’t name...

Scout Motors - who are your competitors?

If I wanted a Rivian, Cybertruck, Silverado EV, Lightning, or any other EV, I’d have bought one already. Like the vast majority of Scout’s customers, I’m not here because the new Scout is an EV. I’m here because it’s a Scout and we’ll see if it’s close enough to the original that I won’t mind...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The Wildtrak was always an odd trim. The first year, you could option any trim to be Wildtrak-equivalent by simply adding the Sasquatch package and V6. Then 1.5 years later the Fox shocks were the Wildtrak distinction. With Ford giving the Fox option to Badlands, they finally gave up the...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I hope SM doesn’t follow Ford’s lead with the Stroppe Edition, because Ford effectively killed the best thing they’ve got; a two door V6 is now made only with super loud livery.

So I shouldn’t expect fast charging credits, a home charger, AND tons of Scout merch??? I’d like all three lol! Ford bent over backwards for early reservations of the Bronco, all sorts of goodies, including over $1k of accessory cash, discounts on price, some actually nice/useful swag in the...

New Scout Trucks To Be Revealed October 24, 2024

This is exciting but I was disappointed to see on the Bronco forum that the administrator over there noted that the Scout forum is affiliated with the Bronco forum. Good grief, the last thing this forum needs is a moderator curating every thread like their own personal opinion piece.
