  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Ship abandoned off Alaska after electric cars on board catch fire

So how exactly does something like this happen? I know EV’s don’t just randomly start on fire, but we’ve seen this a couple of times. “The vessel is loaded with around 3,000 vehicles, 800 of which are electric vehicles”...

How would you build your Scout?

After daily driving a TRX along with plenty of 500 mile days on the interstate, most vehicles will be quieter to me.

How would you build your Scout?

I think tire tread will have more impact that size. The 35’s on my TRX are considerably quieter than the 31” tires on my wife’s Colorado ZR2. In fact, the stock 35 Goodyear Territory Wrangler was considerably louder than the General Grabber A/Tx I put on a few thousand miles ago.

I look forward to seeing the Terra with the same bumper and wheels.

I don’t think the roof rack has lights on the sides, it that’s pretty easy to add.

How would you build your Scout?

I changed my mind. I’ll take this.

Top Must Features: Auto brake hold, rain sensing windshield wipers, Regen shifter and one petal Regen, roof bars agility, and wireless carplay

It honestly kind of scares me. Kind of like vehicles that park themselves. Maybe I need to expand my horizons?

    Sound suppression

That surprises me. I’ve spent a lot of time in my brothers truck, plus my 2020 Raptor had the KO2’s, and not once did I think the tires were loud. I’ve spent my whole life running some sort of off road tires on my trucks/suv’s, and if it was any kind of mud terrain it was on the loud side. Good...

    Combustion Engine

I’m in your relatives shoes. I’d never consider an EV for the same reasons. This is why I have high hopes for the Harvester. If I can gas and go when needed, and then charge at home for the day to day stuff, I’m in. But if after 500 miles I have to charge and get gas, then I’m out.

You shop for a Christmas Tree? I go to the woods and cut mine down.

I’ll be honest, I’d much rather prefer an ICE Scout, but that’s not happening. There’s been a lot of good discussion here, and the Harvester package is really intriguing to me. I’m not ready to go full EV yet, but there are some perks to the future Scout that have me excited.

    I’ve had a CDL for almost 25 years. I’m a terrible passenger.

That approach could save marriages on long road trips. Especially when the wife is driving…

Reminds me of when my wife thought she wanted a Jeep Wrangler. One test drive with the soft top and she was done. She hated the Jeep. Next thing I know she’s picking out a Chevy Colorado ZR2 in bright orange. She loves that damn truck!

That was some cool reading! Thank you for that.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I don’t want to start a whole new thread, so I’m going to ask what may be a dumb question. Is the Harvester a “Hybrid?” It has a gas motor that charges the battery, but because the gas motors is not connected to the driveline, I wonder if it’s a hybrid?

One feature that made you pull the the trigger on a reservation….

The Harvester package. If Scout was all EV I would have passed.
