  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Concepts in New York City September 18-19, 2025

Traveler will be in new color for NYC. I am the lead on the retheme of the vehicle and reviewed it Friday. Already painted and will start reassembly after labor day.

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Sorry.... Can't answer. Not involved with the suspension folks. And I would think this is something they are not wanting to publish yet.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Thank you. I have a really hard time biting my tongue. The vehicle is constantly evolving. I would love to share some things with everyone.... But we can't give away all our secrets. :) Visually what you are seeing in our concepts is 85% of what you will see in production (I believe this has...

Scout Concepts in New York City September 18-19, 2025

Correction. Just the traveler will be in NYC. Both vehicles will meet up together at another event after NYC.

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Remember we will have a solid rear axle set up. You will not see these low hanging control arms in the rear of our vehicle. Every time I see this I just cringe. My opinion it's just not a good look.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Exactly. Guess I didn't clarify my statement as well as above. SpaceEVdriver is much better at explaining. Sorry.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Absolutely not. What you are seeing in our concepts are extremely close to production. Subtle differences that would not be noticeable to the average Joe.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Not to get in a big discussion, but not high-cost production changes. Changes to these show vehicles are expensive. One off vehicles with one off parts. Costly. Who cares about the concepts? Are you reading through these forums?

I'm Ready for Another Big Announcement

Well said. Saw the Traveler today and I was beyond geeked. Coming along nicely. Can't wait to show them off.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Terra is complete as of now and off on a secret mission. I would think it will be revealed in its new skin in a month.

Back To Baja 2025 - The Documentary

This would never be a production option. But for a racing scenario....... This could be an option.

Back To Baja 2025 - The Documentary

How bout our EV vehicle with modified batteries that are easy to swap in and out.... Then at a pit stop you just drop the dead battery and install a fresh one. Then charge the dead one as Sean and Owen are racing. Batteries would get charges in a chase vehicle/trailer as they are to...

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

The revamp of the models are unfortunately not reflective of the production models. There are certain changes in the production models that would be too costly to show in these models. But.... The revamp of these models are SUPER cool. The design team came up with some great add ons to include...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

Late reply. This Shoot was at the end of its life in this configuration. I was a lot more comfortable with letting them do what they want. Knowing it was going in soon for a refit I pretty much let them do what they want.

Just got a look at the Terra in its new form. Oh, you guys are gonna like it. Still in the build phase but really starting to come together. Traveler is moving along nicely also. Stay tuned........ Great things come to those who wait. ;)

Now that the Baja commercial is officially released, I can share some behind the scenes pics. First one is me in the grey shirt watching Owen and Sean load the back of the Terra. Second one is a shot of all their gear in the back of the Terra. Third is a shot I took at the end of the day...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

Jay has many very expensive vehicles. I spent the day exploring and admiring them. Without getting into the details the concepts are well north of 1 million ea, hence the reason I am extremely protective of them. I treat them as one of my own children. No one has ever done concepts like this...
