  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I recently test drove the EV9 and it's really nice. I can see a pickup version selling really well. Now, back to resisting the urge to lease an EV9 for the next 2 years. Lets see, practical reasons not to go to the Kia dealer today: 1. You don't need it. 2. You should save your money for...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

A minute ago it was 20% every 3 months. Now it's 300% every 3 months. Cranky is right. Your math aint mathing.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

20% electric rate increase every 3 months? I'd love to see some actual data and proof on that wild claim. Historical electric rate increases average between 3% - 6% per year. NJ must be an outlier with no public utilities commission to oversee and approve rate increases, or you're making it up...

SCS makes some nice off road wheels. I have a set of their Ray 10s in gunmetal gray for my Tundra, and they make the truck look totally different. Hopefully they will offer wheels for the Scouts when they come out. https://www.stealthcustomseries.com/

That sounds right. I know they stopped doing at some point, and that time frame is what I had in my head as well.

If memory serves correctly some Mopars from that era had reverse threaded lugs.

    Welcome and Introductions!

Welcome to the forum! When you get a chance, check out the threads about the SC legislature direct to consumer sales bill. Your legislators need to hear from as many of their constituents as possible to convince them to change the law in SC to allow DTC auto sales, which is how Scout plans to sell.

Welcome. I think there has been some discussion of matte colors on here. The search function will be your friend to peruse the 2 years worth of discussion that has already happened here since the forum's inception

Do you have a bill number? Would be great to post it and a message telling all Colorado residents on here to contact their legislators and strongly urge them to vote it down. We need to do everything we can to stop this dealer lobby crap whenever we have a chance. I know @codythacker is doing...

    Resale Value/Depreciation

As far as my take on the depreciation/resale value is concerned, it's a non-issue for me. I'm buying my Scout for the nostalgia value as much as anything else, since I've owned 2 IHC Scouts. I don't plan to sell it ever. They'll have to take it from my cold dead hands. I won't care at that...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Regular cab! And round headlights that several people wanted! Nice! Could serve as a preview for Scout to work from on a gen 2 Terra after the initial production run.
