We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

    It really is mind boggling. It's more than I paid for my 3,000 sf house with 30' X 60' garage on 5.5 acres of land.

    Here's my garage. it's 30' X 60' with a 12' tall door on the end. No issues with height of the Scout, even if the off road package makes it sit higher than a standard garage door. This garage was a major selling point for me when I bought the house. My current project is my daughter's 2013 BMW...

    Wow! And I thought that 74 cab top for $12,000 was pricey. This 1971 Scout 800B restomod on Ebay makes it look like a bargain. Anybody got a spare $284,900 burning a hole in their pocket...

    There's also a rather rusty 1979 Scout on CL south of Worcester, MA for $5,500. The ad says it's a Traveller, but I thought that long wheel base model was called a Travelall. 345 V8 in this one. https://worcester.craigslist.org/ctd/d/manchaug-international-scout-traveller/7858769056.html

    I love those pictures. Thanks for sharing. They remind me of my own childhood growing up in the 1970s on a small family farm. My dad used a similar type of plow to plow the field for our garden, but instead of a Scout, he used our horse Teddy to pull it.

    My 1976 Scout II that I had in high school was that same maroon/burgundy color. It didn't have the white stripe, though.

    Hmm, where's that pic of the white prototype/design buck with Chris Benjamin. I can't remember if the side mirrors were shown in that pic. I'll try to find it. Edit: Looks like all-white mirrors on that one: Edit 2: Better mirror pic. Definitely white.

    ^^^This I think @R1TVT mentioned this feature that Rivian has in another thread. I seem to recall that you just enter the new tire size and it corrects for the difference so the speedo is right.
