  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

The concept vehicles have the ability to adjust the light temperature. That's why they haven't been totally consistent in photos (plus they don't photograph well all the time). Our design team is pushing to make them as warm as possible.

    Scout Motors at Harvester Homecoming?

So to roughly break it down... We have only two fully hand built concept vehicles that look most similar to a production vehicle. Because they are hand-built they are still somewhat fragile. Beyond that we have numerous test mules, but since we aren't stamping sheetmetal yet, these are...

    Scout Motors at Harvester Homecoming?

Just a friendly reminder that these are "concepts". :D

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

I said you *could* install one. :D Obviously, we engineer a vehicle to a certain standard, including the parts we put on it. At some point, if you replace those parts with something we didn't design or modify it to an extreme we can't warranty, then you take that risk. But nearly everyone who...

    Scout Motors at Harvester Homecoming?

18" lift kit with 40" tires... you'll barely tell the difference... :D

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

I don't think we would cancel a reservation just because what you want isn't available. It is still early for me to know the exact customer flows yet. Let's see as we get closer.

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

To answer the question about deferring your order until you can get the configuration you want, that is the plan. But if you want to be first on the block, you might have to compromise on that front. There are a lot of details regarding ordering that are still being worked on, so let's see how...

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

It is worth pointing out that any manufacturer that is launching a new vehicle (let alone two) in a brand new factory that has never built anything yet will likely start out slowly to ensure quality and with slightly more limited offerings at the start. Just want to set expectations...

    CYURE GOES TO NATIONALS!!! Yay!!!

Always loved that the UX team did that. The screen can obviously support multiple styles of "gauges" and information. Let's see what the final version looks like.

    Scout Motors at Harvester Homecoming?

Both concept vehicles are currently undergoing refitting with scheduled changes and are out of commission for a number of weeks. So we won't make it this year.

    Spare tire discussion

Still somewhat fluid, but because the rear tire could obstruct the view of the license plate if mounted on the bumper, we will likely mount the plate on the carrier itself on the left side. Let's see how things go between now and production. Jamie

That was always the difference with federal *and* available state incentives depending on the state you live in.

    Spare tire discussion

There is a filler panel that contains the license plate on the left side. Hopefully we have something to show you all soon on that front. :D

    Traveler 2.0?

Yes, that was a very early Chris Benjamin lead design build. Lots of little changes since.

Confirmed what the press release you posted said? Doesn't confirm anything regarding Scout.

Scout Connection Center Columbia, South Carolina

Sorry, building security wasn't very pleasant. They don't work directly for us. Hopefully you can make it back during a game in the future. Eventually we will have multiple ways to see the vehicles, but this early on it is still tough.
