  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Bigger frunk

Welcome aboard. There are already member saying the vehicle is too big. frunk is a result of what space is left and its bonus storage. These vehicles are 85% locked in so changing frunk is likely only happening if they did extra room after all critical components are accounted for

    Higher Range

Agree 100%. For 450 miles and base price of $80K I’m out
  3. J Alynn

    Higher Range

Yes it would be but for 3 years the ranges have been focused on what was announced so I suspect that’s what we will get or maybe slightly more is SM has been conservative and things work out and they squeeze another 20-50.

    All glass tinted roof

There are three commited at this time. At reveal the comment was made about an operable sunroof but size would be considerably smaller so fixed panoramic for now and the likelihood is the solid metal roof will be standard

    Plaid Trim Option

Exactly. Even more pronounced in person

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I think two would be more than manageable on a single charger

Taking bets on the new color of the Traveler Concept to be seen soon...

Agree. I’d like a softer blue and an aqua/teal. The brighter blues look nice but are so typical. A softer blue would be unique and would look good with several roof colors.

    1980 Scout II Purchase?

Engines went forever. The rust was probably the biggest detriment

    Plaid Trim Option

When you get to see the scouts in person you’ll see the diagonal is way more obvious but since prototype is dark charcoal it looks less so in photographs

Fair point. But maybe he considers teal to be blue family. It’s a color everyone can argue as to blue or green but you are 100% correct. I’m changing to greige with a white roof

    SEMA top 3

Love that color and looks great on the wrangler

I wouldn’t say Terra was Blue-blue though-more a slate blue. I’m holding out for teal blue
