  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Big Community Event?

It was a very good event. Can’t imagine what it cost though but so many experiences while there that most will never understand because it just wasn’t hyped up beyond’s the vehicles. I wouldn’t expect SM to pay for another event but I would be there in a heartbeat if they invited me. 😀

    Big Community Event?

I would consider it more if they did the Brick tour and started in Indiana at the Fort Wayne factory then headed to Blythewood. Would be great as a tie back to the factory launch trip they did. Or better yet Charleston to enjoy playing tourist. I can stay in @LastDayScout ’s guest bedroom 🤣...

Im more of a 37" tire guy, are we going to need a lift kit or will these squeeze in?

Out of fairness the Wrangler didn’t take a 20+ year hiatus either and wranglers don’t evolve that much from one gen to the next. But I get your point

That car was destined to fail based on buyer demographi. And it’s a shame because it was a great interpretation of the original

Damn autocorrect -but perfect for you Yeah-actually I meant it that way-play on words since I’m feeling clever today 🤣

Option for no tire on back.

You’re not saying the carrier is an option and you as owner will be able to take it on and off? This has not been stated. Only that there is an option to have a carrier or not. Until SM announces the carrier is an on-off option I wouldn’t count on that. I suspect it is either a hard fix or...

Im more of a 37" tire guy, are we going to need a lift kit or will these squeeze in?

Probably nothing changed but they wouldn’t let us near the under belly at reveal so if they will now I’ll certainly throw my body on the filthy concrete to get some pics (can see my wife’s face already). My guess is nothing has changed but worth looking under the kilt to be sure 😀

So long as they aren’t holding a taser or telling me no I will try. If they are willing I’ll just ask as well. Guy tried crawling under at the reveal and security ended that very quickly 🤣

Maybe @Jamie@ScoutMotors or @CP1@scoutmotors can shed a slight bit of light on the matter. If they are permitted to

Im more of a 37" tire guy, are we going to need a lift kit or will these squeeze in?

I don’t know. Based on some others and being NYC I like a more urban feel, 35’s or 33’s and maybe no tire carrier (even though I know we both like it but seeing a new color and no carrier would make it more viable in more urban areas-parking spaces and garages way easier to contend with. I am...

Meh-rather have a Scout. In my mind I was correct-not a fan-not sure why. Maybe I’m just not an MB fan.

Im more of a 37" tire guy, are we going to need a lift kit or will these squeeze in?

It was just a cough. I’m sure it wasn’t implying the Terra update will have 37’s and be rigged up alike a Baja contender-that’s just my crazy pipe dream since there’s been heavy focus lately on the Baja campaign. Fingers crossed

I hope you haven’t caught something. Flu season is starting so take care of that cough 😀
