  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What does the base model look like to you?

What makes you think people cant be concerned about both?

How would you build your Scout?

3.5 0-60mph is obscene, and men have spent millions of dollars chasing those numbers over the years. That’s quicker than a ’69 Hemi ‘Cuda, quicker than a GNX, Turbo Supra MKIV, and even quicker than a ’90s Viper. Back in the day, you’d have to build a 10-second quarter-mile car to see that kind...

Where can I see the new vehicles?

Welcome. Drive up to the plant and kick the paint booth door in for us since youre so close. They are currently giving both the Terra and the Traveler some facelifts featuring new colors and accessories.

Do you think you will be considering a wrap after a few years? Not because it looks bad, but the cops in your area will definitely know your truck by then

What will you typical cargo look like in your Scout?

I love how many nerds we have here.

    Kia Electric Tasman Pickup

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a64434933/kia-pickup-truck-ev-us-confirmed/ "Despite the current chaos surrounding auto tariffs, Kia is continuing with its future plans, which include finally selling a pickup in America. The Korean automaker announced the new truck during its annual Investor...

What does the base model look like to you?

Feel free to explain why you favor monthly subscriptions over a fixed price at purchase.

How would you build your Scout?

IMO power steps tuck in so close to the rocker panels that the rarely get damaged. I am not saying they cant, but I have never seen some get damaged that bad. Besides if you arent worried about lockers I doubt youll be driving over obstacles large enough to smash them. I just hope Scout gives...

    Kia Electric Tasman Pickup

I wish they would actually make a WKNDR The whole thing will have a modular track system so you can reconfigure for seating, living, hauling cargo, etc.

I cant wait for this to reach the breaking point and people start pirating their vehicle's DLC.

What does the base model look like to you?

Yeah as @R1TVT stated it was out of Rivians hands. Not really a good example.

What does the base model look like to you?

Theoretically we might be getting mid to premium “trim levels” at launch and a cheaper version with less features could come later for higher volume sales. I was thinking about the Lucid Gravity and it currently is only available in their Grand Touring trim at launch, and the two lower trims...

New Lightship towing test with an R1T. I look forward to more of these types of trailers to hit the market and bring prices for “pusher” trailers down.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

In my defense I have had electric Scouts longer than you 🙂

What does the base model look like to you?

When you think of a base model Scout with no add-ons, what does it look like to you? The slate has hand-crank windows as a standard feature, but it will also start at half the price of the Scout Traveler. Should we expect rubber floors and vinyl seats, or do you think leather seats and full...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

We still have several 10:1 scales in storage, but I got out the 24 scale crawlers recently and started working on them so the kids could play with them. Got myself a silicone magnetic repair mat and an electric screwdriver which has really taken the stress out of working on them. Still waiting...

Honestly this would probably be my next choice if the Scout Traveler doesnt flesh out. This is the first year that the USA is getting the global Nissan Patrol instead of the neutered Armada version. If Infiniti is offering an offroad spec Q on the same platform I would buy it over the Lexus...
