  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Just one more reason to opt out of arbitration.

Im more of a 37" tire guy, are we going to need a lift kit or will these squeeze in?

I’m hoping I can trick the air system up a little bit to fit 37”s. Their sidewall is only 1” taller than 35”s. If you want long travel you can expect to spend about $10k-$25k. But you won’t need to regear which saves you about $2k-$3k. So it’s a wash, right?! However, if Scout isn’t courting...

    Big Community Event?

I would drive the Lexus from Texas up to Uwharrie National Forest for some wheeling and test driving some Scouts. It would be a great nationally recognized landmark for Scout to hold events at, and be a partner of. https://maps.app.goo.gl/jhrw8aYRDz2HfJ7H7?g_st=ic

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Don’t forget the AMG G 63 4x4^2 and the 6X6 have factory portals too. They will also make your wallet prolapse. This used one is a bargain at $130k

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Werewolf has been making them for a while but they are in Ukraine so shipping can be tricky, and expensive. Minimum recommended tire size with their kit is 38" 74 Weld has been making portals for King of The Hammers rigs and competitive rock crawlers for a long time, and released them for...

Luxury features I would like to See

My main concern there would be if the hubs are are compatible with the airline. They would need to be designed with CTIS in mind from the beginning since the air usually travels through the axle shaft. I have worked on many of those systems and they are pretty reliable. Most of them that I saw...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

My last one was a 2015 Passat SE 6MT TDI. Truly a rare bird. Think it was the last year you could get a manual transmission in the Passat. I skipped all the retune/recall jazz and threw a Turbo Man Hybrid turbo on there with a Stage II clutch and a Malone tune. It was an absolute riot...

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Alright, I’m gonna say it. Piano black has NO place on vehicles that are intended for offroad use. If we need to compromise keep it off of the A-Pillars. Put it wherever else you must but vines, branches, and plain old rain water stains piano black and it looks like sh*t in short order. It...

Everything you said was true, but I wouldn’t be mad if the Harvester generator was a small displacement VW TDI engine 🤣
