  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

There is a small subset of features where I'd go "yeah okay, I can understand the subscription model here"... but most of the other stuff? Just roll it into the price of the car. Most people are financing it anyways which is really just a subscription to keep your car from getting repossessed.

    Home Charger Reviews and FAQs

I'd just like to hop in and say thanks for starting this thread. I know a lot of the EV early adopters/enthusiasts really geek out about chargers, but I'd wager that most of everyone else doesn't, so being able to common man explain the pros and cons to each charger is immensely helpful.

Ford model T moment vs Scout motors

I don't really think we have enough information to say whether or not their new platform will be successful, however their production efficiencies could be a game changer when it comes to speed to market and general availability, which is very important if we're looking at an electrified future...

honestly the biggest thing is Ford's recommitment to the EV future. I love Scout and don't see myself jumping ship unless they have a generational bag fumble, but Ford has the weight to actually drive change and disruption in the US auto industry. While it doesn't impact Scout directly, it...

What goodies have you gotten from a dealer/manufacturer after purchasing a car

when I bought my Audi in 2013 I was given two "VIP tickets" to a showing of Iron Man 3. Big oversized hardstock tickets. Was pretty cool, they had rented out the theatre and had a red carpet and the whole lineup of new vehicles on display for people to check out.

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

We even have some threads where they could source configuration options!

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

I have a hard time imagining members who have signed up for and participate in this community not overwhelmingly voting yes for this. We feast on crumbs of news here!

one of my favorite Arrested Development gags is the car salesman trying to say they discontinued the Bronco to help shed the "fugitive on the run" thing. "This is the Escape!"

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Was out with the kids + a friend this morning and was thinking about a feature in my wife's car that's really helpful in a pinch. Integrated booster seat in the 2nd row. We may be sized out of it by the time the Scout hits the market but I know others may enjoy it.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

This happened on our old Subaru all the time... on the highway death gripping the wheel and its still giving me warnings about hands on the wheel because I'm not jiggling it.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Just a couple small things that I've found really make a difference for me: - heated steering wheel - multiple profiles for seat/wheel/mirror positions - auto dimming rear AND side mirrors - heated mirrors for easy defrosting in the winter - rain sensing wipers - adaptive cruise control (I'd...
