  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

You don't consider the IdBuzz a minivan? Huge 3rd row in it. If VW offered it as an EREV, I might buy one over a Scout. As is, just not enough range. 190 miles at 75 mph according to Car and Driver. I love everything else about it (except the price!).

Ford announced an EREV Bronco Sport, not for the US.

The new SUV’s wheelbase is a massive 116.1 inches (2,950 mm), which matches the wheelbase of America’s big Bronco in four-door form, and is way bigger than the 105.1 (2,670 mm) of the current Bronco Sport. When it comes to length the 197.8-inch (5,025 mm) Chinese car outranks both the Bronco...

Loved the Eagle Talon version! And the Galant VR4! All the Japanese companies were humming in the '90's. My uncle was a Nissan dealer then and we had some amazing cars (Maxima SE, Sentra SE-R, 300 ZX, Pathfinder).

Mitsubishi has expressed interest in bringing the Delica here. The next generation one will be a hybrid. They're really neat. This was all pre-tariffs so I wouldn't count on it unless Japan and the USA come to an agreement..

That's true. Petroleum comes from many different places, and we're not given the option to choose who to buy it from. There are some things I have control over. I accept it's inevitable I will have to purchase things made in China, but I can choose not to buy a Buick Envision or Lincoln...

Fisker rushed them out before they were ready because they needed money. With financial backing the outcome might have been different, but the odds were stacked against them. There's no faster way to lose money than starting a car company. I'm curious to see how long VinFast lasts. Their...

Much of Ohio is flat, but the southeastern area is part of the Appalachian Plateau. Very hilly and great driving roads. Car and Driver has used the Hocking Hills area for many comparison tests. There's nothing wrong with our topography.

I agree. It isn't easy to make physical changes, except perhaps for wheels and tires. Software changes are easier to implement, but everything still has to be tested. I don't enjoy being a guinea pig.

Bigger Gas Tank - 15 Gallons is Abysmal

Perhaps long-time members here would be more receptive if people didn't use phrases like "15 gallons is abysmal". Many members here politely urge newbies to do some searching before rehashing topics with new threads. If you see a lot of the same names posting, it's because they are...
