1978 In decent shape
Tell us about your Scout:
1978 Black, 345 motor, 4 wheel drive,. Found in Denver 10 years back. Brought back to Oregon now in Washington State. It became my daily driver. Runs decent, once it warms up.
Rear end axle destroyed itself bearings scared the inside of case, now has a Ford 9in under it. Front end starting to wobble, getting bushings and shackles. Gonna swap out the rag-joint for a knuckle.
One day I'd like to be able to drive to LA, NY with it, We'll see how it goes.
My Dad bought me my 1st one back in High School, flat orange paint looked like a pumkin, said he bought it off of Burlington Northern RR, Used it for pushing empty cars around when their yrd donkey was broke down. Got smitten with Scouts since. Wish I still had it miss that truck. That was sold off out in Nebraska in late 90's.
