1971 Scout II
Tell us about your Scout:
This Scout II was manufactured in June 1971, and was ordered by the U.S. Government for use in Western New Mexico. After its tour of duty, it was sold at a government auction and used until about August 1983 when it was parked in a private scrap yard next to a barn in Gallop New Mexico. Here it remained until I purchased it in October 1999, and began a 6-month restoration to get it back on the road. On March 30 2000 it began its second life where it spent many years taking our family on excursions in the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado.
