Scout Delivery Experience Ideal Guest

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Since we presume there will be delivery and presuming you can take a guest. Who would you take? And be creative, try avoiding spouse or kids. Like if it was the question about dinner with a famous, historical or mentor in your life -who would you bring along (and presume NOT as a hostage but presume they would be a willing guest. And tell us why!

I’m taking your idea a little bit further and adding not with us anymore.

We lost my mother in-law back in 2003. I miss her. She and I had a great relationship. When she was alive she was always involved in our car purchases somehow

.When we had our oldest son I had a 2 door Honda Civic. She saw me crawling in the back to put him in his car seat. She called me up the next week and said I found a 4 door car for you, you need 4 doors. It was my first BMW sedan and she knew we couldn’t afford that so she paid the difference to make the payment affordable.

In 2003 she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given 2 weeks to live. She made it 6 months. In that time period she called me up and asked me “so do you want a BMW, Audi or Mercedes?” I was stunned to say the least. I said well I guess an Audi wagon like you have. The next weekend we went up and picked up my brand new A4 Audi Wagon.

When she passed away my father-in-law asked if there was anything else I wanted. I asked if I could have the Wille Coyote stuffy she kept in every car after she won it at a carnival game in the 70s. He’s still in my car today. Buckled in the middle seat in the back wearing a Scout bandana now. Reminds me of her and how she always had our backs when she was alive.

I would love one more opportunity to talk to her and tell her how much I appreciate everything she did for us and how much we miss her and fill her in on the last 23 years.

Now someone who is still here with us, my best friend. She lives in California. We are each others “Ride or Die”. Doesn’t matter what time or what it is we are there for each other. We talk everyday. Our families don’t even have to ask who is on the phone. We have been through a lot together. A lot. We have never taken a road trip together and that would be so fun. Like Thelma and Louise without all the bad things and driving off a cliff. 😹

Don’t do that to the pretty Scout!

I’ve struggled with this as I initially thought my mom as well but she is no longer with us. She drove us everywhere as kids in the scout, and that was jr high days so it was parties, friends, Friday night football-the stories, the laughter, the singing-she was always there to haul my sister and I and any combination of friends around. (We lived 28 minutes from the school) so lots of road time. She also came along with me for my BMW delivery and did the offroad course-then quickly stated she wasn’t about to go high speed on the track-she was nearly 70 at that point. She was also known by all in the family to read EVERY billboard along the highway on a roadtrip-we once did trip from PA to FL-that’s a hell of a lot of billboards 🤣.
That said, still not sure who my living person would be-I’d want somebody that makes me laugh the entire time but not sure who. Wife or daughter is obvious so still thinking on that one.
I suspect many who grew up with Scouts will state their parents so curious where this goes

It was a ‘66 Thunderbird, just made me sick.

If it's in town, one of my best friends. He wants a Scout badly, but refuses to put a deposit down. I know he'd deposit on the spot if he went with me to pick it up and saw it. If it's at the factory, my six year old son. He'd LOVE it and would like the road trip with me. "Dude time" he calls it. He loves physical buttons so he's all in on the Scout. :ROFLMAO:

That’s awesome. Miss the days of road trips with my daughter when she was young. We put a lot of miles on going to archery tournaments
