So Jamie-what are all the vertical black “tubes”? Are those LED lights to spot flaws or just connectors for plexiglass panels or something similar? Looks cool-just can’t figure out what it is. ThanksOur August 2025 update is now live:

I’ve always wanted to tour a modern factory. I know others have said it but… @Jamie@ScoutMotors it would be awesome if there’s some kind of factory tour option.
That will be amazing. Makes me think of Nats, they were giving factory tours. Not sure actually.
This is something we are working towards.

My guess—since they’re in the paint booth—is that they’re UV lights to accelerate the curing process of one (or more) layers of the paint. So Jamie-what are all the vertical black “tubes”? That would be icing on the Scout communities welfare cake in SC.The 1.3 million square feet of roof could become a 25 MW power plant with today’s solar efficiencies. That would put Scout Motors in the top ten largest solar power producers in South Carolina.
It’s great seeing the progress of the factory. Also nice to see the bridge now being built over the freeway. I’m assuming that’s to help with trucks coming in and out of the factory so there is no hold up?Our August 2025 update is now live:

And if they put solar over the parking lots, it would add even more. And provide shade for the employees during the SC summers. That would be icing on the Scout communities welfare cake in SC.
And all those cars hanging out in the shade could get a free charge at work. Sounds go to me.And if they put solar over the parking lots, it would add even more. And provide shade for the employees during the SC summers.
Yeah. It’s an eye opener. It was my favorite pic this time as wellI love the picture of the new overpass. It really gives me the feels for how large this project actually is.
That is the new train/rail line I believe. It ties in further away but pretty sure that’s rail per an earlier postIt’s great seeing the progress of the factory. Yeah. The blog link has captions for each image; that’s the rail line to connect built vehicles to the existing rail. That is the new train/rail line I believe. It ties in further away but pretty sure that’s rail per an earlier post
