2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger Production Run Will Be Short

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I think with Tim Kuniskis back as Ram’s CEO, the focus will be more on gas powered trucks than EV’s, so this shift doesn’t shock me. Lots of rumors of the Hellcat returning in 2026 as a street truck, or the rebirth of the TRX.

I think the Ramcharger will be a great new product for Ram (if they don’t screw it up). However, I’m more excited about the possible return of the TRX. Ram is not an EV company like Scout, Rivian, or Tesla, so they need multiple options. Some folks want an efficient V6, some what a Fire Breathing Hellcat, and others want an EV like the Ramcharger.

The next 6-12 months for Ram (and Dodge) will be interesting.

I feel that the V8 could go back into the Ram’s but not Dodge products or at least the Charger. They already confirmed that they would have to redesign/reengineer the whole model just to fit it. One thing I like about the Ramcharger was that it was EV W/range extender. Glad Scout went the way they did with the Harvester.

There’s all sorts of rumors of a new Dodge model with a V8. Only time will tell on the rumors (I’ve heard the name “Cuda” whispered for years now). The Ramcharger has the potential to be a cool option. I have a reservation on the Traveler with the Harvester package, and I’m excited to see what transpires in the next couple years.

They've already extended production of the Durango with the Hellcat and Hemi engines for another year. They're making quick decisions.

I’m just happy that Carlos Retired from the company. What a mess he made.

2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger Production Run Will Be Short

...the first model year will be short. Very short, indeed, for April 14 through the model year 2025 buildout on June 6 isn't even two whole months...

...On June 16, the green square indicates Job #1 for the 2026 Ram 1500 Ramcharger....

Ram 1500 REV Update: Long-Range Model Canceled as Ramcharger Takes the Spotlight

I think they've just realized, as much as commenters insist, they need 7 million miles of range, actual consumers aren't willing to pay for it.

350 in the standard REV is plenty, if you want more, buy a Ramcharger.

Exactly. There are people that will always insist on more EV range than is practical, so it's best to point them to the EREV... They the BEV product can build with a reasonably practical range.
