    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy.     Didn’t want to delete this but wanted to update. The efficiency for the Traveller is wrong (4.08 miles/kwh) as default so this is not correct.     Also just discovered that the ABRP app has added both Scouts..but I don’t think the efficiency is correct (1.74 for Terra vs 4.08 for Traveller). Anyone with experience what to guesstimate more accurate efficient (not towing of course!)

    I want a bench seat and cabana roof…right now Terra vs traveler and BEV vs harvester is truly undecided…but give me my bench seat and cabana roof—the rest doesn’t matter :)

    I think Scout should give priority for those wanting to pick up their vehicle from the factory—that way the crazies (ie US) won’t get mad and everyone else has no excuse that they got bumped!

    Yes I am a simpleton…I am sure it’s not as simple as I suggest, but in theory I think this is the plan to have them all running down a single assembly line. Stamping and paint should be identical.

    I imagine the assembly from the EREV is more complex (but do to intentional engineering not significantly so)…it actually makes more sense after a few weeks of erev assembly to move to 1:5 bev to erev. Same assembly line just the Bev skips a station or two. So it may take 20 hours of touch time...

    Love it..yes lots of economics involved however Scott did say the engine would be sourced from the region…how about a Ducati engine…it’s VW group.. small size with HUGE HPs/KWs

    Scout has said non turbo in an interview. What factory are you referring to. I am only aware of the engines being manufactured in Mexico (besides Skoda in Europe)

    Nearly all the 4 cylinder vw engines are turbocharged direct injection. At least those manufactured in North America. I think we may be surprised what they choose as it seems there isn’t anything off the shelf, no mods needed engine in North America.
