  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I feel you here. I'm one of the 4% that went back to ICE....and this is exactly the reason. Loved my M3P, but I missed having a noisy 6MT sports car that was a joy to drive. As fast as my M3P was (and it was FAST), driving a 5000 lb car aggressively wears on you. After about 15-20 minutes...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Yes.....ECD is Estimated Completion Date. Sorry....work vernacular jumped in there. :) I was really just hoping someone had given us a idea of when that info would be released. As much as I want a Terra and as excited as I am about owning one, it's viability for me comes down to it's...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

General question here......but given that we're into 2026 now and production is supposed to start next year, is there an ECD for Final Specs on the two models? They must have some idea of what they are by now if they're going to produce something next year.

What trim levels would you like to see at launch?

Towing Package/Trim would be good. Towing Mirrors, upgraded cooling, hitch, etc....

South Carolina Scouts! Your voice is heard: Direct sales bill gets a hearing on Wednesday!

I know I’m late to this particular party….but the thing that stood out to me most in watching the hearing video was that no one on the “For” side pointed out that in no way does this bill abrogate existing franchise agreements. The dealers have their contracts with the other OEMs and those will...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I didn’t really expect there would be…but it would be nice. Would be nice for some of the speculation to be put to rest. Or at least, We’ll know in by Date X when things get real. But…as with many things in life….I guess we shall simply have to wait as patiently as possible and see. :)

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I would love to have the All EV…but I don’t know that a nominal 350mi range will be enough for my intended use case. While I don’t have any issue stopping to charge (Did that before and it actually was nice), I don’t want to have to do it constantly. If the battery capacity was higher, I could...

    Drivetrain Mode Selection

We know the vehicles will be AWD and that’s great. But it occurs to me that there might be times when having two wheel drive might be preferable (extended highway driving, on-road towing, things of that nature). Other EV’s have the ability to tailor where the power is sent from within the...

    Battery Capacity Options

It would be interesting if you could turn off the all wheel drive when you wanted to. That didn't use to be uncommon with 4x4 vehicles, though it's a lot less common today. Running as RWD or FWD (Tesla's track mode has a slider that lets you send the power to the front or rear as desired) could...

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

I understand where you're coming from.......but I actually think threads like this are valuable to them. While the numbers are not final....and we all get that, as Jamie said.....this thread is telling Scout some very important information: This matters to people a lot and they need to...

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

Oh...I've not made any decisions yet. We'll see what happens between now and show time.....but...if it does turn out this is true I'd really have to think hard about it.

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

Ok…going to pile on a bit….5000 lb towing capacity for the Terra Harvester??? Scout forum people….Please….PLEASE tell the Engineers to make that not true. The primary function of any truck I own is to tow my car trailer. I wanted the Harvester so I could go a bit farther between charges...
