  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Drivetrain Mode Selection

We know the vehicles will be AWD and that’s great. But it occurs to me that there might be times when having two wheel drive might be preferable (extended highway driving, on-road towing, things of that nature). Other EV’s have the ability to tailor where the power is sent from within the...

    Battery Capacity Options

It would be interesting if you could turn off the all wheel drive when you wanted to. That didn't use to be uncommon with 4x4 vehicles, though it's a lot less common today. Running as RWD or FWD (Tesla's track mode has a slider that lets you send the power to the front or rear as desired) could...

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

I understand where you're coming from.......but I actually think threads like this are valuable to them. While the numbers are not final....and we all get that, as Jamie said.....this thread is telling Scout some very important information: This matters to people a lot and they need to...

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

Oh...I've not made any decisions yet. We'll see what happens between now and show time.....but...if it does turn out this is true I'd really have to think hard about it.

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

Ok…going to pile on a bit….5000 lb towing capacity for the Terra Harvester??? Scout forum people….Please….PLEASE tell the Engineers to make that not true. The primary function of any truck I own is to tow my car trailer. I wanted the Harvester so I could go a bit farther between charges...

    DROPDOWN REAR WINDOW

Tesla aftermarket offered plenty of interesting items to address items like that (like a screen for the A/C intake to keep leaves out). If SM doesn’t do something and it’s an issue, someone will likely take the initiative.

    DROPDOWN REAR WINDOW

I suppose you could…but I’ve never seen one.

Good to see we’ve got a fair number of people here. We’ll have to consider getting together to do some stuff as time moves on and we get closer to launch. Looks like I’m the only Terra so far….but everyone’s going for the Harvester.

    tonneau cover standard?

If there was a factory option tonneau, I’d seriously consider it. I’ve been wanting to put one on my current truck and 12 years, I still haven’t. If I could just order it up front, that would be better. If they did….A locking, sliding, hard cover would be my preference. Doesn’t need to be...

    DROPDOWN REAR WINDOW

My Titan has a window in back that can be lowered. It’s great and really lets you ventilate the cab….but you are correct. If there’s stuff in the bed(leaves mostly), it gets caught in the bed vortex (that’s really a thing. It’s produced by the relatively still air in the bed vs the higher speed...

    Bench Seat vs Standard

Reading about your dogs made me think of this video I saw the other day.

    Bench Seat vs Standard

I do mean the console/captain's seats. For myself, I like having the console in the middle. It's always good to have places to put things! Being a crew cab, I can haul people around if need be and that works for my situation.

    Bench Seat vs Standard

I've seen a lot of discussion about the bench seat, but not much about the Regular Cabin. Is everyone leaning that way?
