  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What do you all do? Curious about Scout buyers occupations, or former occupations.

certified registered nurse anesthetist. I gas people to sleep and then wake them up

What's the timeline (w/ charging and fill-ups) for a 720 mile road trip (no towing) with and without the harvester?

A better route planner.com can run scenarios based on what car you drive. Scout is not in there yet, but it will give you a rough estimate of charging stops and times, I’m sure scout will eventually make it up there once more info is released

    Rivian Rs2 vs Scout Traveler

Agreed. If money was no object I’d get both. And probably an EV G-wagon, and a Ferrari and caddy ct4 blackwing just to round it out. And a bigger garage too

    Rivian Rs2 vs Scout Traveler

They are very different sizes. The R2 is approximately Toyota rav4 size, while the traveler is approximately Land Cruiser size. Rivian has a head start in production, and service Personally I like the looks of the Scout I’ve got reservation on both and going to see what they both look like...

    Self-driving integration with Open Pilot.

I’ll speak for myself here and say that’s perfectly adequate. My Volvo has a somewhat decent lane keep assist (hands on but you can take off for 10 seconds ish). I like the idea of level 2+. There if you want it, but not mandatory or invasive

    Whinin’ and cryin’

Waiting for my OF to pick up, people like hairy, slightly overweight and sweaty 40 year old dad bods, with big noses right ?😉😆

    Whinin’ and cryin’

Waiting is hard, but the plus side is you can use the time to save money, each overtime shift I work is going straight into the scout fund

    Scout Sales Strategy: Territory Ambassadors

I’m also in the San Antonio area, I’ll help

    Major Storms

No in construction but I’d assume they have contingency plans for bad weather. It’s not the first time it’s rained in South Carolina I’m sure

What are you driving until release?

2022 Volvo xc60 t-8 phev, love it but a bit small and only 35 mile battery. 2018 Toyota sienna-the family hauler that may get replaced if I can convince my wife to take my Volvo, or maybe just get something else before hand.

    Texas Scouts

I’m in big bend national park for spring break right now, I’m very excited to get my Scout and take it on the back roads. River road and glen springs are calling my name

Make it run on low octane (aka cheaper gas)

Is it possible to make the harvester run on lower octane gas, love my Volvo recharge but the engine requires premium. If the harvester could use low octane it would be nice
