  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Traveler color suggestion (white /red & blue stripes)

MAKE THIS HAPPEN ! I live in the south (Arkansas) and it gets super hot here. I love the white with the blue and red stripes. I was an advocate of the hunter green but I have changed my mind to this the more I look at it. I hope this will be an option! Do what it takes to make it happen lol...

    300 miles instead of 350?

January 2026 Scout Motors Production Center Update shows the Traveler at 300 miles range. I thought it was 350? Has the battery that is going to be used already settled on? I see CATL and LG Chem are starting mass prod on Sodium Ion batteries. This would be a huge if Scout could use these.

    colors - hunter green

Just throwing it out there but I would really like hunter green Traveler. I think it would go awesome with the lighter interior and the wood grain

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

If the price is near $70,000+ I wont buy but if it was in the 60s I would. I agree if they come out and you cant get what was has been advertised for less than $75,000 they will fail because I know I wont buy one and I know the end of high priced vehicles is starting to change. I would rather...

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

This thing keeps looking better and better. One of the colors on this forum had a white Traveler with red and blue striping, super retro looking and I hope they offer that choice ! I am going with the Traveler all electric.

    new VW app550 electric motor

I was just watching munro live and they are talking about VWs new app550 electric motor and awesome it was for durability and efficiency. Given this has backing from VW it would be really awesome to see this motor in the Scout vehicles.

    New Battery By 24M Technologies

Sandy Munro just dropped a cool video with company 24M Technologies for a new battery that he says is what everyone should go to. Pretty cool. They are spinning up production in time for Scout to start production. This could make a significant leap in range eliminating the range extender. You...

    leasing

since it is a new product and the way tech changes so fast, leasing is the best option for me. Once I know this thing is built like a tank and is durable and reliable then I would for sure own 2.

    Screen cover

I really like the minimalist aspect and dont like screens. It would be awesome if they had some sort of a cover to go over the screen to make it look like there is no screen. I love the product but also like minimal. If it could be made of any interior material like cloth and durable that would...

Make a trail and more comfortable interior options.

I would love to have an all cloth seat option. I am not fan of leather. Hot sticky in the summer, slick not easy to hold you in place and no give to it. This could make the ride more confortable.. I loved my old 86 chevy blazer with the cloth interior.

    Layflat front bench

Since there is a flat bench seat across the front it would be neat if you could fold if flat that touches the back seats like a bed so you can sleep in it.
