  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Actual dimensions based on what we configure

The Ineos Grenadier and Quartermaster have a convenient dimension reference diagram next to its off-road controls. Something similar could be cool.

    Traveler 2.0?

I suppose this "RUV" at the Autostadt in Germany is the same early development build from the recent User Experience video https://www.autostadt.de/w/showcar-scout-traveler...

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Found an angle where it looks like the left salk is for windshield wipers, turn signal, and high beams. Right stock is for drive selection. No images I could dig up of physical switches for manual control of low beams, parking or fog lights.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

I'd like to see physical headlight controls added from concept to production. In all the photos and videos I've seen, I could only find a physical button for auto day/night headlights. Hopefully the production models won't have the high/low beam, parking, and fog lamp controls hidden behind menu...

    Spare tire discussion

An option for the whole tailgate swinging sideways with the spare carrier could be an option. Or since there's no engine to cool up front, an oversized spare could optionally be put in front of the "grill" and also act as a light duty push bumper. There are pros and cons to both these options...

    Optional PIN to Drive Feature

Optional ability to enable a "PIN to Drive" security feature that requires a PIN to be entered before the car can be shifted into drive as an extra layer of security, preventing unauthorized individuals from driving the car even if they have a key fob/access card/authorized phone. This feature...

Terra Full Size Spare (35") Mount

If a 35 inch spare can't fit under the bed of the Terra, and if the front "grill" of the truck has no engine to circulate air through, then why not have an option for a front spare mount? It can be fixed to the front bumper or be a pivoting tire carrier that swings out of the way for convenient...
